Percy woke up when Magnus fell on him. Groaning he sat up and pushed the mass that was his sleeping best friend off of him before checking the time. 1:17, Percy's watch red and Percy groaned next to him Magnus started hovering again so Percy kicked him.  "Dude!" Magnus exclaimed drousily recoling from the shot at his ribs. "Maggie, your floating agian!" Percy responded in a sing song voice which he belived cleary displayed how pissed off he was.

Magnus groaned and tugged at his necklace which was the source of the weirdness. Magnus's necklaces had been doing odd things recently, floating, talking, singing you name an annoying thing the sword did it. Magnus yanked on the necklace agian which woke it up. "WOAH THERE BUDDY!" The sword exclaimed, "IF YOU KEEP YANKIN LIKE THAT I MIGHT GET BIG-" "Look Jack," Magnus said interupting the sword (who's name was Jack). "You were floating agian! You said you would stop!"

Jack huffed and suddenly he floated off of magnus's head. "Better?" The pendent asked magnus who nodded and then shook his head no. Magnus then turned to Percy, "I'm sorry, but Jack is all I have left of my family."

Magnus then put the pendent back around his neck and sighed. Percy nodded, he felt bad for Magnus, which in turn made him feel bad for himself.

Percy was a teenager now, he could see pg-13 movies and could probably buy drugs if he REALLY wanted to, but none of this brought excitement. Being a teen ment nothing to Percy because he knew deep down he would never live like a normal teen, just like how he never had a proper childhood.

Percy felt sad, he Himself had nothing to link him to his family.........except for the knife, his Gabe killing knife the one that killed his mother, the one that killed his childhood. The blade felt heavy whenever Percy carried it now, like it was getting impatient. It was cold always and carried the malevolence of a violent ocean, without (of course) being sentient.

As Magnus was settling back into bed Percy walked over to said knife, it glistened in the moonlight which would soon disapate to make way for the rising sun. In that moment Percy named his blade.
