Prologue

Y/N slowly walked into the guild. Everyone stopped and stared.

"Who is she?"
"Where'd she come from?"

"Excuse me, where's your master?"

After talking to the guild master, I, Y/N, am now apart of Fairy Tail. Although. I have no idea why I did it. I don't know magic, yet anyways. I don't have someone to teach me. I have no one.

"Hey!" I stopped thinking. I was sitting outside the door of Fairy Tail's entrance. I looked up. A boy with dark black hair looked up at me.

I screamed covering him with my arms.

"You're naked!! Perv!"

"Agh! I did it again!" He ran back into the guild hall. I sighed. He's kinda cute.

I blushed. I shook my head.

No no no. No boys.

He walked back out with his head down.

"It's a habit," he huffed.

"Yeah you perv," I scoffed turning my head away.

"I'm not a perv!!" He yelled.

"Yes you are!" I stood up yelling in his face.

"I'm not gonna argue with you. My name is Gray." I just scoffed. "Are you gonna tell me your name?"

I took a look at him. His eyes sparkled. I blushed and turned away.

"Y/N."

It was almost a year later and Gray butted heads with me every moment of it.

"What do you want now?!" I yelled. "I'm trying to eat!"

"Me and you! Let's fight! For real!"

I scoffed at him.

I'm not as strong as him. But I am strong. But not as strong

I stood up, "Fine! If you wanna fight so bad then let's go!" I looked at Gray in the eyes. He seemed taken back, yet I could feel myself shaking. No one knew I didn't know magic yet. I was studying, but I didn't have a tutor so it was hard. Everyone thought I was just keeping it secret.

Gray and I stood, while everyone was watching.

"Careful Gray! She could be like Erza!" I took a glance at Erza in the crowd. She was about my age and so strong already.

I looked back at Gray and gripped my fists. Gray started using his magic. I dodged his attack and was able to punch him a couple times but I kept dodging.

"Is she gonna use her magic," this comment I heard in the crowd made me zone out. Suddenly I was hit with one of Gray's attacks.

"Agh!" I fell on my back and Gray jumped on top of me and took one punch at me. I tried to kick him off but I was weaker then him.

"Yes! I'm stronger! I beat you!" I looked to the side, eyes welling with tears. "But wait, you didn't use magic. That's not fair! How do I know if I'm stronger than you without you even using magic?!" He hopped off. "This fight isn't over!" I stood up, wiping my bloody mouth.

"Yes it is." I turned around and walked away.

I packed everything I could into a small bag. I was going to grow strong. I was going to learn magic. I would return. This wont be the last time Fairy Tail will see me.

I crept into the guild hall. I was going to leave a note for Gramps under the counter.

"Y/N," he croaked.

"Ahh!" I turned around and it was Gramps.

"What are you doing here at this hour?"

"I'm just...I'm leaving," he stayed silent, "but I will return. I promise."

"I know you will." I smiled at him, and walked out of the guild hall.
