"Yeah?" Gray asked when he approached the bar.

"So I was just wondering, are you interested in anyone right now?" I felt hot and my face turned read. I turned my head down towards my drink.

"Eh??" He asked.

"What I'm just wondering?" I tapped my finger on the glass and looked up with my eyes at Mirajane, giving her the dirtiest look.

"Well I mean," I opened my ears, listening, "yeah I guess this one girl." Mirajane squealed.

"Is she in our guild?" She leaned toward on the bar, seeming to forget I was there.

"Yeah," he choked.

"Who is it?" I looked at her face and she was smiling widely. I snuck a look at Gray and his face, he was already looking at me. I nonchalantly returned back to the bar, taking a sip of my drink.

"I don't wanna say."

"Whyy," Mirajane whined.

"Because I don't think she feels the same. And I can't handle rejection from her." I titled my head at Mira in confusion.

"Hmm," Mirajane hummed, pitting her finger on her lips. Then she smiled, "But what if she does and you're too oblivious."

It was quiet for a while. Then Mira started giggling.

"Tell me tell me tell me."

Gray huffed and walked away.

"Hey! Come back!" She turned to me. "It's definitely you."

"How do you know that?" I was utterly confused.

"Umm he turned to you about to say something but then told me he didn't want to tell me. And he looked at you when he said he couldn't handle the rejection. He was basically telling me without telling me because you were right there." I shook my head in disagreement.

"I don't think so."

"You both are oblivious." I looked up at her quickly.

"Hey! That's not true." She tilted her head at me with her eyebrows up. "I just," I lowered my voice, "I don't want to get my hopes up."

"That's understandable." I nodded and we continued to have small talk until Gramps joined our conversation.

"Y/N, do you think you're going to be going along Gray and his group for jobs?" I looked over at Gramps and back at my hands.

"Probably not, Ill most likely being doing solo jobs. It's more my thing I think."

"What about the fact you went with Gray?" Mira asked.

"I didn't. He followed me. And it was still pretty much a solo thing," She nodded at my response.

"I still can't believe it was an S Class job, how'd you get it?" Gramps asked.

"Y/N said it was on the lower deck." I shrugged at Gramps, agreeing with Mira. He shook his head.

"Maybe you and Gray could be a duo," Mira suggested. I shook my head at the unlikely hood of that happening.
