10 Years Later

I stood at the entrance of Fairy Tail. It's been a long ten years and I hated every second of being away. But I'm stronger now and I use magic.

I held my bag tightly and walked back into the guild hall. Everyone had grown up. My eyes watered. I gulped and held them back. I walked down the hallway. Everyone went silent.

"Is that?"
"It is."
"Y/N"
"But she left ten years ago."

I was stopped when Gray stood in front of me. He grew up well.

"What is this?"

I pushed past him and walked to Gramps. I placed my bag down next to him and took a seat. I looked closely at the girl behind the counter.

"Mirajane?"

"Yes Y/N! I missed you!"

"You changed." She gulped.

"Yes," she whispered handing me a glass of water. There must me something I don't know about.

"I kept my promise didn't I?" I asked with my head down.

"Yes Y/N I knew you would." I smiled, sipping my water.

"Okay, what is this? You leave for ten years without any word and come back like nothing?" I turned around and again it was Gray.

"Yeah Y/N why'd you run off?" Natsu stepped forward. The boys grew up, they looked stronger. I just softly smiled and looked down.

"Am I missing something?" I turned and a blonde hair girl spoke up. She must be new.

"Yeah, this is Y/N. She joined the guild about eleven years ago. A year after being with us she just vanished," Gray spoke and he turned back to me, "It was after our fight. Is that why you left?"

I stood up. "No Gray," I began walking towards him again and stopped right beside him. "You were not the reason." I walked out of the guild hall and began to walk towards the nearby river. I collapsed at the bank and held my head in my hands and wept.

I was overwhelmed with seeing everyone and anyone who recently joined. I fell back and laid down.

Flashbacks of Gray punching me flew into my head and I closed my eyes and gripped my fist. I'm stronger now.

"Hey!" I sat up and turned around. It was Natsu.

I turned back to the bank.

"Y/N! I'm talking to you! We deserve an explanation!" I stood up and faced him. He was right.

"You're right. You do." I walked towards him and hugged him. "I'm sorry," I cried.

I pulled away and explained everything.
