"Y/N , why didn't you tell anyone? It was hard on all of us you know?!"

"Gramps knew."

"What! He knew?" I nodded.

"You know, Gray took it harder than anyone." I looked up at him with wide eyes.

"What?"

"Yeah, he took it pretty rough. He didn't eat and he was pretty down for a while."

"Why?"

"Because you were like, his best friend."

"I thought he hated me."

"Because he picked fights with you? No, you meant a lot to him. He just likes proving himself."

"Thank you, Natsu."

I walked back into the guild to eat something. I hadn't eaten anything since I left my teacher's house. Which was a five hour trip.

I sat down with a plate. Mirajane filled me in on everything that had happened.

Erza was the strongest female in the guild and was S-Class. A new recruit named Lucy joined the guild after meeting Natsu and Happy. She also explained about Lisanna.

My heart grew heavy.

"I'm sorry I wasn't here for you," I said with my head low.

"It's okay! We're living on for her you know!" I looked up and she was smiling. Her smile made me smile.

"Yeah, we are." My thoughts haunted me. I would never see her again. Until my time came. I should have hugged her before I left. I never thought of coming back to someone gone.

"Where's Y/N?" I turned around and it was Gray. I sighed.

"Hey Gray, I'm right here," I said raising my hand. I hopped off the stool and walked towards him, I grabbed his arm to make him follow me and we walked around the guild hall. We sat by a tree that was obscured from everyone.

"Why did you leave?" He asked. He looked up and me and he was crying. "Was it because I picked fights with you all the time? Was it because of me?" My eyes watered.

"No," I said hugging him. He grabbed me and held my tightly, crying into my shoulder. "It wasn't because of you." It was quite for a while. "I didn't know any magic when I joined the guild."

"Wha...what?"

"Remember our fight? Before I left. I didn't use any magic. Because I didn't know any. That's why I left. To get stronger. To learn magic. To become who I wanted to be." Gray pulled away and laid on his back.

"Why'd you have to leave?" He asked softly.

"I...I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt anyone."

"Well, dont leave again."

"I won't." He sat up.

"Promise me!" I just stared at him with wide eyes.

"I promise." Gray laid back down.
