Five

When I woke up, Gray was still asleep. So I rolled over and looked for a clock. There was one hanging on the wall. It was extremely early in the morning so we still had time to get sleep.

I didn't want to move again, but I wanted to face him. So I flipped around again, looking at him as my eyes grew heavy again.

Why would he move us both to the bed? Does he have feelings for me? No he couldn't. We're probably just friends in his head and he's just comfortable sharing a bed. Or. Does he want to be more? No probably not.

When I woke up again. Gray was still asleep and it was a few hours later. Still early but late enough to get up. So I got out of bed and got ready while I let Gray sleep.

About another hour past and I was ready, I sat on the couch where Gray was once laying and looked over the job listing again.

We had to take down and entire dark guild that had taken over a town.

I wonder how bad it is.

I heard Gray move, so I looked over at the bed. He was sitting up and rubbing his eyes. I stood up and walked over to the bed.

"Why'd you lay with me last night, instead of sleeping alone like you originally had it?"

"Huh?" He looked at me while scratching his head. Suddenly he turned his head away from me. "Because I was tired and just wanted you to go to sleep!"

"Oh," I said looking down. I only sighed.

He doesn't like you. Of course he doesn't.

"Okay, then..." Wait does he hate me for what I did? Does he hate me for leaving? Or making him come along? "I...I'm gonna go into the town. I'll see you back here whenever I get done."

I got up and started walking towards the door.

"Eh? Wait! I'm coming with you!" I turned around to see Gray struggling to put his pants on. He then fell over.

"No need. I don't need to drag you any further than this," I said turning around and walking out the door.

There was a hill that overlooked the town. In order to get a better perspective at what I was looking at I climbed the hill. I could see the whole town, what I saw was awful.

The town looked dark even though it was sunny out. Workers looked miserable by their stands. But people looked as if they were being forced to work, being snapped at every time they took a seat. The women were crying as their children were being ripped from their arms.

My blood boiled, I clenched my fist, and gritted my teeth.

I looked at the entrance, and smirked.

I walked towards the entrance and saw two men guarding it. They towered over me but I was not intimidated.

"Hello boys I'm here for work," I said non shalantly. They looked at me with squinting eyes. I sighed, "That's a shame, looks like I am just gonna have to force my way in," I said.

"Eh?" They both said. I didn't need my magic for this. I just took them out with my hands.

I slowly opened the gates and felt like I was instantly hit with a darkness chill. I pushed it away and moved forward.

"Miss, are you from Fairy Tail?" I turned around to find a young trembeling woman. I turned and showed her my shoulder blade where my marking was.

"Yes, I'm here because there was a job listing."

"Yes, yes, please come this way. Hurry!" The woman grabbed my hand and showed me to a hut. She ushered me inside and closed the door, then going to a window and peeking through the blinds.

She then moved a table and pulled a rug, revealing a hatch. She pulled it opened and hurried me down. When I got to the end of the ladder it was a basement full of people.

"Ah! Are you from an official guild?"

"Yes, Im from Fairy Tail," I answered. The lady rushed over to some small children in a corner. The room seemed to be turned into a small living area. From my counting it seemed about four families lived here. My heart squeezed. "Tell me everything, please I am here to help," I said bringing my hand to my chest.

"My children and wife have been in hiding, as well as my fellow friends and their wives and children. The woman here are separated from their children. My wife sensed your presence, she used to be a wizard, but after the dark guild took over, she and other wizards grew very weak and ill of their powers. Please, we need help taking our town back, our home."

I looked around the room. I noticed about three of the kids were sick, and one of the wives were too. A man was crying over the woman, assumably his wife.

The feeling of blood boiling filled me once again.

"I will save your town!"
