The Will Behind The Wound

"Three little piggies...", the Kiri nin said as they started wrapping Naruto with the chains

Sasuke jumped into the air and grabbed a Kunai, he dodged the Shuriken that was connected to the chain, making it go into the tree

Sasuke then threw his Kunai to Kaito

Kaito threw it to the tree, causing it to go in the hole of the Shuriken, it won't get loose anytime soon

Sasuke landed on the ninja's backs and kicked them in the face

They still tried to get to Naruto, while the other went for Tazuna

Sakura jumped in front of Tazuna, "Stand back, sir!!"

The ninja still tried to go to Tazuna until two Jounin popped up, grabbing the ninja

"(y/n)...Kakashi-Sensei?", Sakura asked 

Everyone looked to the spot where they "died", only to realize that it was a bunch of cut up logs

"I'm sorry, Naruto. I should have moved to help you sooner...Before you were injured. It never occurred to me that you would freeze up. Great teamwork, Sasuke, Kaito. You too, Sakura.", Kakashi said

"Hey...", Sasuke said as he started to walk to Naruto, "Are you okay...Scardey cat?"

This made Naruto grow a tick mark

"Naruto! There's no time now for fighting. Their claws are poisoned. We have to clean that wound as soon as possible. If we cut it open more deeply, the blood flow will wash the poison away. For now, keep as still as possible, so the poison doesn't spread.", (y/n) lectured

"Damn, that's tough.", Kaito said as he took selfies and sent them to girls, making (y/n) sweatdrop

"Mr. Tazuna.", Kakashi started

"Wha...What is it?!"

"I need to speak with you. Our attackers appeared to be Chunin level ninja from Kirigakure, The Village Hidden in the Mist. They are Shinobi renowned for their willingness to fight on until their goal is achieved, even at the cost of their own lives. Obviously, they were watching and waiting for us. The sun is out, and it hasn't rained for several days...So there shouldn't have been any puddles on the ground.", Kakashi said

"If you knew all that, why did you even let those creeps attack you?", Tazuna asked

"I could have killed them any time...(y/n) could have knocked them out in a millisecond...But...We wanted to find out...Who their real target was.", Kakashi said

"What do you mean by that?", Tazuna asked

(y/n) stepped in, "Were you really the one they were after? Or was it one of us ninja? There has been no word of any Shinobi seeking to take your life. The request that was relayed to Lord Hokage was that you have an escort to protect you against any roving bands of thieves and brigands. In any case, it's clear this is more than a B rank mission. To protect you from ordinary dangers until you complete the bridge you're currently constructing...Would be a simple thing. But if you expected to be the target of a ninja assault...Then it is beyond question that this would have been classified and priced as a mission for Jounin. You may have had your reasons, but it's never a good idea to conceal the facts when you are asking for help. As it is, this task falls far beyond the boundaries of the job we were assigned.", (y/n) lectured

Sakura started to sweat, "We're not good enough yet to handle something like this...Can we quit? We'll need an anesthetic for Naruto's wound before we can re-open it and drain the poison. Can't we return to the village and have a doctor look at it?"

Kaito, "Hell nah we finna finished this damn mission!"

Naruto nodded

"Hmmm...This is complicated! Do we go back now so we can make certain Naruto receives medical attention?", Kakashi said

Everyone's eyes widened when Naruto stabbed his wound

"Naruto, what are you--?! No!! Stop that!!!", Sakura yelled

"With this Kunai knife, I promise you, I...Will protect the old man. Reporting, fit for duty, Sensei!", Naruto said
