Chapter 16: Tails and Rouge Captured

You woke up early this morning, wanting to show them some good cooking. You were making and omelet, until you felt two arms wrap around your waist. You giggle and turn your head to the side, just enough to see Shadow.

"Good morning" you smile. Shadow sniffs in what you were making and sighed.

"Good Morning, what ya making?" Shadow asked. You smirk and kiss his nose.

"You are in a good mood, where did Grumpy Shadow go?" You tease. Shadow blushes and lets go of you.

"Oh him? He's gone, left, defeated" Shadow kissed your cheek and left to the living room. Where Amy, Sonic, and Knuckles sat. No Tails, no Rouge. Strange.

"Has anyone seen Tails?" Sonic asked. While they were there Sonic had gotten his power back, and was afraid to lose it again.

"No, not since yesterday" Amy replied. Hugging Sonic's arm, knowing that he's worried.

"Well then, let's go find him! I have already checked the house and he is not here" You say, standing next to Shadow.

"Wait a minute, I haven't seen Rouge either" Knuckles gasped. You grab Sonic's, Amy's, Knuckles', and Shadow's hands and run to your secret HQ in the forest. Once you arrive in there you let them go and head straight to a huge monitor. It was connected to a huge keyboard looking thing on a desk and a few chairs.

"Have a seat" you say, they look at the chairs next to you and sit. You look from you keyboard to your screen. Back and forth, back and forth. Until a huge table with a huge X-ray map of the forest and Mobuis. You motion for them to follow you to it. You point to a starred spot. Including miniature realistic pictures of the gang right next to next to you, on top of the starred spot. Little green houses indicate the houses in Mobius. A big red square indicates the area of the G.U.N HQ. And two little pictures of Tails and Rouge are on top of that square. Little red dots are moving all over the forest area, the G.U.N people. The red squares are traps, green dots and squares are good people and things.

"See, we're here. Tails and Rouge are here" You point to the big red square. "They are at the G.U.N HQ" you sigh.

"Then we have to go there now!" Sonic shouted, running all over the place, looking for an exit.

"I'm sorry Big Blue, but we can't" you turn to Sonic. Who stopped in his tracks to stare at you.

"What!? Why not!?" Sonic shouts. You sigh and walk to a grid screen. You create Sonic as an example, and then The G.U.N, Tails, And Rouge.

"Look, if we go there, they are just gonna capture us and take over the world! We can't. They are trying us, using two very special and important people! If we go there now our lives are over. We have to be patient and wait" you erase it all and felt a little to scared to look at Sonic.

"Oh yeah, a guys strongest area is patience" Amy sarcastically replied. You growl at her and return to your map.

"She's right, knowing them they will set them free without their power. It's best we stay here" Shadow sighed as well. Sonic looked devastated, but sighed and nodded his head. You felt like crying, it hurt you to see Sonic this sad, or hurt. It hurt you to see any one hurt.

"I'm sorry bud, but it's for the best" you sigh you exit your bunker and go out side. Shadow went to go follow you, but you were gone as well.

"(Y/n)?" Shadow called out. You hid in a tree, watching Shadow. Waiting for the right moment to pounce. Before Shadow walks right under you branch. You jump out and land on him, finally getting a little fear out of it.

"Hey, what ya doing?" You ask slyly, smirking.

"Looking for you" Shadow kissed you, you kiss back. You break apart with a smile. Your ears perk up to the sound of beeping. You gasp and run inside your bunker. Grab Amy, Sonic, Knuckles, and run out with them. Just then, the bunker explodes. You use yourself as a shield to protect the three you saved. Once done you stand up, open you eyes and gasp.

"M-my HQ! M-My info, m-my hard work, m-my home" you slightly sob as you watch everything you had burn. Sonic, Amy, Knuckles, and Shadow open their eyes and see it to. Amy gasped and held Sonic's arm. Shadow stared at it and walked up to you. "This was my home, my only friend before I knew you guys. He was my brother. He protected me when I was in trouble, he helped me stay away from you guys, alerted me when some ones in trouble" you dry you tears and slightly growl. "This was where my best friend died" you growl at the remembrance of it.

"Who was it?" Sonic asked. You sigh and look away.

"His name was Wolfy, a Wolf, he took care of me after I escaped G.U.N, since I couldn't find Shadow. This was his bunker. One day, he was shot by a hunter and died when I tried to help him while in this bunker. His sole was trapped here, where I mainly stayed. That was why I didn't want to stay there. But when Rouge took my Life Rings I had no choice. I'm sorry bro" you sigh and look up into the trees. Amy looked like she was gonna cry, Sonic, Knuckles, and Shadow felt bad for you.

"I promised him I would keep this place safe. I promised him to help Shadow" you sigh. Shadow's ears perk up to the sound of that.

"Why me?" He asked.

"Wolfy used to know Maria. She used to live here before Gerald had to go to space, away from the G.U.N. So he could help heal Maria, and create Project Shadow in peace" you finished. Then, you heard rustling coming from the bushes. You gasp and ready your powers. Pointing you hands at the bushes.
