Chapter 9 - House of Discover

Amber: Still feeling weak?

Jenna: Kind of.

Amber: Any better?

Jenna: I don't think so.

This time was critical. Jenna couldn't move her legs, at all. Amber tried everything to help, but she just couldn't move them.

Amber: Why is this happening?

Jenna: Well, since I'm disappearing in any moment, maybe it's normal.

Amber: It doesn't sounds normal to me, we should ask Fabian to research about it.

Jenna laughed.

Jenna: Can't you?

Amber: Too much work gets me stressed, and you know what that means? Wrinkles. Horrible wrinkles. I'll go ask Fabian, need anything else?

Jenna: I'm fine, thank you.

Amber: Okay then.

Amber went downstairs to Fabian's bedroom. Joy went out of her room to eat something. She haven't ate anything since what happened with Fabian. She was walking through the halfway, when she heard someone crying. She came inside Amber's room, and saw Jenna in the floor.

Joy: Jenna, are you okay?

Jenna: No I'm not, I fell, can you help me?

Joy: Of course, how did you fell?

Jenna: I tried reaching that book.

Joy took her and helped her get to bed. 

Joy: Why aren't you moving your legs?

Jenna: Because... I can't.

Joy: What do you mean?

Jenna: Yeah, I can't walk, I don't feel them.

Joy: Oh my, why? Have you called a Doctor already?

Jenna: He can't do anything for me.

Joy: Of course they can, what happened?

Jenna: It's a long story.

Joy doubted in asking her, but she knew it was the right moment.

Joy: Does it has to do with the thing that Fabian... is your dad?

Jenna: H-how do you know that?

Joy: I... overheard when you told him something at the hospital, related to it.

Jenna: Well, it's so much more. I'm going to... disappear.

Joy: Disappearing? You mean like... going to your home?

Jenna: No, disappearing as in... disappearing.

Joy: But why?

Jenna: Nina died, so she won't have me, and I won't be her daughter.

Joy: Wait, Fabian was going to marry her?

Jenna: Appearantly.

She cried in silence, it broke her heart once more. But she knew she needed to forget him, after what he did, she knew she couldn't love him much longer. Now, knowing this, confirmed her thoughts. She'd never have a happy ending with him, like she always read when little in stories.

Joy: And that's why you can barely move?

Jenna: ... Yes.

Joy: I'm really sorry, if you need anything, tell me.

Jenna: Actually... would you help me get into Fabian's room? I can't walk on my own and I need something from there.

She doubted. She didn't want to see him, not after what happened. She was about to say no, but she offered in first place. She agreed and helped Jenna get downstairs. She didn't know how she was going to react when she saw him, after everything she said and what he did.
