Chapter 12 - House of Connection

"I open my eyes and can't see anything. Am I dreaming or am I blind? I can't know for sure. I see something, something green in the darkness. It brights. Is in my arm now, they're inyecting it to me. Who are they? I hear voices. Am I sick? I feel as if I've been here for a life time. I can't stand up or talk, I can barely breathe or move. This silence would never end. I can see a bright light in the roof, is the sun. I need to touch it, I need to see the sun again. I would die in here, I feel it. Fabian, can you feel my pain? I need you."

Fabian and Eddie woke up sweating.

Fabian: It was... her.

Eddie: But how can you connect with her?

Fabian: I don't know... but she was calling me, calling for help. Eddie, she's dying.

Fabian teared up in silence.

Eddie: I know. We need to find her before it's too late. She was trying to talk to us by her thoughts, her mind. We certainly need to hurry.

Jerome: Morning Miss Jaffray.

Mara: Mr. Clarke, you look fantastic today.

Jerome: Can you imagine how big my feelings are for you?

Mara: I certainly can.

Jerome and Mara laughed. They were waiting for everyone to come to breakfast. Eddie and Patricia were arguing on the corridor.

Eddie: We're searching, but is not easy. We don't have any clue. She could be anywhere.

Jerome: Pardon, who?

Eddie didn't notice Mara and Jerome were already on the table, waiting.

Eddie: Oh yeah, um... Jenna was lost and...

Jenna: Excuse me?

Eddie: Oh, there you are... we looked for you right, Yacker?, he shared a nervous laugh.

Patricia took Eddie by his arm and whispered.

Patricia: You Smackaroo, be careful! You almost told them everything!

Eddie: Don't worry,  I will.

Victor arrived with a girl, at the same time that Fabian and Alfie arrived. The girl looked at Fabian. He felt her eyes were penetrating his.

Victor: To all of you, this is our new resident, Miss Kaily Fegan. She would be with us for the rest of the term. She would be sleeping with Miss Millington.

Fabian: But... that's Nina's bed.

Victor: And Miss Martin, unfortunately, is not with us anymore.

Fabian whispered to himself with annoyance.

Fabian: You wished.

Kaily: It's a pleasure meeting you all.

Victor: I'll take you to your room Miss Fegan.

She was a tall, blonde girl. She had wavy hair and blue eyes. It took Fabian's attention, the way she looked at him. He couldn't help but feel as if he knew her already. But how?

Eddie, who was beside Fabian, whispered.

Eddie: Isn't she alike to the blonde woman that kidnapped Nina?

Fabian: She certainly is. 

Eddie: She looked at you as if she was saying 'I'll kill you'.

Fabian: I know, it was what scared me the most.
