Chapter 11 - House of Confrontations

"6 floors passed. Breathe. You're infront of it. Go ahead. Lose fear. Gain braveness", Fabian thought.

There was a little office in the corner. Dr. Simon was sitting there, checking some medical histories. Fabian and Eddie knocked and came in. The room was that small that in seconds they had Dr. Simon infront of them. Face to face. "Breathe. You're infront of it. Go ahead. Lose fear. Gain braveness" Fabian continued repeating it to himself.

Fabian: Dr. Simon?

Dr. Simon: Um, aha... may I help you both?, He said without paying attention.

Eddie: We want to talk about a pacient, or well, an ex-pacient.

Dr. Simon: And? Talk faster.

Fabian: Nina Martin.

Dr. Simon looked directly to them, swallowing saliva. Fabian noticed something was wrong, just as he thought it would be. Eddie looked at Fabian who nodded. Eddie put his hands in the table, making a strong noise.

Fabian: Tell us Dr. Simon, why you signed her medical history?

Dr. Simon: That's a lie.

Eddie: Oh really? Security cameras won't think the same. What if we go and check them?

Fabian looked at Eddie confused. Eddie shut him with his eyes. Dr. Simon looked at both, more nervous. He was sweating.

Fabian: So? Going to tell us? In some minutes you can be telling it to cops and not just to us, you know.

Dr. Simon: Okay, I'll... tell everything.

Fabian and Eddie sat down.

Dr. Simon: That day I was the only Doctor in the area, everyone was celebrating our boss' birthday party. I was alone. Then, someone came into my office, and menaced me with killing my daughter. We went to the room she took me to, it was Miss Martin's one. I signed. Miss Martin suddenly woke up. The woman threw something at me, and I fainted. But before I fainted I saw she inyected her something. When I woke up, there was no clue of both.

Eddie: ... Is a she.

Fabian: I knew it.

Eddie: Is that recorded, Dr. Simon?

Dr. Simon: I think it is. We can go and check if there's no one in the cabin.

Fabian: Thank you.

The three of them went downstairs again. They walked quickly through the halfway 'til they got to the cabin. Empty. They went in, and Dr. Simon locked the door. They looked through all the videos in that date. Then, they found something suspecious. It didn't show the whole room, but you could see the woman and Nina's arm.

Eddie: Somehow that woman moved the security camera.

Fabian: Well, at least we can still see some of it.

Exactly what Dr. Simon said.

Fabian: Yes, she's a woman. Look at the heel.

Eddie: Why would she take Nina? Nothing makes sense.

They replayed the video for at least 13 times. Then Eddie found something.

Eddie: Here, replay! I found something!

The woman was dressed all black. Eddie pointed to the collar she had. Nina's locket. The locket that let all those adventures to happen.

Fabian: But how does...? It can't be, Nina gave me her locket.

Eddie: What if she's related to her?

Fabian: Don't be stupid Eddie, if she was her family, she wouldn't have taken Nina, and wouldn't tried to kill her. The only Chosen Ones were her and Sarah.
