IT TOOK HOURS for Raven to finally force herself and sit down to write the prom invitations. She only send one - to Adrian and Millie. She decided against sending one to Denver after exiting the Hunter's Guilt out of the blue and cutting all ties with her family - because, well, that was what vampires without their humanity did logically to prevent their hunter family catching wind of their transformation and coming to kill them. Caroline had also put the others on constant babysitting duty after Tyler had explained to her what exactly had happened the night her mom died out of fear that, well, now with her emotions back Raven would try to kill Damon. And truthfully, she didn't trust herself with that rage and pain and utter betrayal either. She didn't know if she would kill him. But she knew that, ever since prom, she felt like it. She felt like ripping out his heart with her bare hands. And so, she kept her good distance from him.

Outside her window, it had gotten dark, winds raging and echoing into Raven's apartment. With a frown, she threw a glance at the window before she sighed and turned back to the coffee machine for a third time. Tomorrow it was her graduation day ― and she had no idea what would follow. A long time she had been set in her vision of the future, going to college with her friends and sharing a dorm room. Visiting home and her mom at least once a month. Hanging out with Tyler, maybe even them still being together.

Then, after the car crash it had shifted. Eventually she had decided to keep on hunting after graduation, becoming more engaged into the Hunter's Guild after becoming independent from school. She didn't really believe she was meant for college anymore.

And now, after dying and becoming a vampire, after being without her humanity, after remembering what happened the night of the car crash and who had caused her misery ― she didn't know anymore. The future after tomorrow was a gaping black hole, a sword hanging above her head. She knew she didn't want to stay in Mystic Falls, but for how long? A summer? A year? A decade? The measurement of "her life" didn't apply properly anymore ― Raven wasn't bound to an ordinary human lifespan anymore.

As she watched the coffee dripping into her mug, she threw a glance at the clock. It was getting late now, and not only graduation creeping on her caused the anxious knot in Raven's gut to form. From what she'd gathered, Bonnie had told everyone that she would need a full moon to performthe spell for Silas (which she, if Raven was honest, didn't quite believe) and the next full moon was tomorrow night. Honestly, only in this stupid town would their graduation and the dropping of the veil between them and the Other Side fall on the same date. Mystic Falls started to feel like Armageddon to Raven.

Another reason to get the hell out of this town.

After the coffee was finished, Raven grabbed the mug from beneath the machine and turned back to the kitchen island. She wasn't exactly sure what she was supposed to do with her free time either ― due to her previous grades she had a bit of a buffer that had allowed her to graduate comfortably even though she had not done anything when her emotions were off. Now, she had been sitting around in her apartment all day, procrastinating and not really sure what to do with herself.
