"Veronica!" I heard an urgent, but deep, gruff and scratchy voice shake me awake. "Wake up, you're having a nightmare."
I peeked open my light brown eyes to see a fluff of blonde hair and light blue eyes. Sunny.
"Sorry." I muttered. "What time is it?" I said, my light brown eyes opening fully to look at her.
"Almost 5." With a snort, she added "All of them feel like beauty sleep is important and demand they sleep past the time we're supposed to wake up, but yet they stay up til 1, gossiping about the cute boys. It pisses me off." She said. "It's something I would expect people our age to do, 17 and up. Nope, a handful of them are 14. It's weird." Clearing her throat, she added on, "I'm done ranting. You might want to go take a shower or something and get dressed."
Us being tall, but light, we lightly jumped off the bunk without making a loud sound. Quickly digging into my bag, I quickly pulled out an Alice Cooper shirt along with short black jean shorts. Eh, I might look like a thot, but it's clothes.
Slipping on my shoes, I ran outside towards the shower rooms, bumping into someone.
Falling the ground with an 'Oof,' I almost immediately recognized them. Their name was Audrey, but they rather to be called Simon. They were trans, I knew, and a bisexual like me, and they shared the same dorm with me. They were cool, but an underdog.
"Shit, I'm sorry!" I said, helping him up. With a chuckle, he pulled his tall self off the ground.
"It's fine. Anyway, why're you up so early?" He asked, smiling down at me.
"Eh, I had a nightmare." I said, just shrugging.
Pulling me into a hug, he said "I'm sorry that had to happen, I hope you feel better." I noticed Dave in the corner of my eye, but I just ignored it. Simon had this feeling to him that was comforting, not awkward or weird or anyway.
"Anyways.... I need to take a shower." I said, pulling out of the hug.
He waved, walking out, replying with "Have a good shower!" while running past Dave.
I just simply pretended I didn't see Dave and ran into one shower, turning on the water and getting my auburn hair wet. I was ready to get out and confront Dave, but I was't ready to, he seemed intimidating for someone soft like him.
