Amrit's POV

I was sitting on my dressing table looking at my reflection.

Yesterday..
Laksh asked me to marry him...
But I feel something is not right.
I can't think think of marrying him without even telling anyone.

And first of all, I don't even know if I love him.
I mean I do have a crush on him and maybe I like him.
But 'Love' it's a too heavy term to use for a guy I met hardly a month ago.

A tear rolled down my cheek. I slowly wiped it as I went into a flashback.

~Flashback~

I was sitting under a tree while Laksh continued playing with the kids.

I had sprained my right leg and was looking at it thinking how to fix it.

I don't believe this...
I have sprained my leg.
Am I even serious?
How will I walk now?
Ugh!
Why does all this happen to me only?

I sighed and looked at Laksh playing with the kids.
I just smiled as I looked at him.

He is just so...
I don't have any words...
I mean just look at him,
His innocence which is reflected in his eyes, in his smile and in his nature,
Makes him double the attractive as his looks.

He looked at me and started walking towards me while the kids play among themselves.

"So how is it?" He asked sitting beside me.

"Sprained, I guess" I said looking at his face while his eyes were fixed on my ankle.

He slowly touched my ankle as he examined what has happened to my 'dear' ankle.

"Ouch" I flinched removing my ankle from his leg.

He chuckled. "You don't even know how to walk right?"

"What does that mean? This happened because I didn't see that stone in my path" I said trying to sound offended.

"That stone was big enough to be seen from far away." He teased me.

"I hate you" I mumbled.

"Did you say something, Rajkumari?" He teased me again.

"NO!" I said feeling irritated to which he started laughing.

~End Of Flashback~

An automatic smile came to my face as I remembered that moment.

I wiped the tears and stood up.

Now, I have decided what I need to do.

I walked outside and towards the royal garden.

Kanha was there playing with the Pandavas' little sons.

"Kanha" I called out his name.

He turned towards me.

"Amrit! Come here" He said with a soft smile as he gestured me to come nearer.

I am gonna tell hin everything.
I am not going to take such a big step without taking his advice.

"Kanha. I need to tell you something." I said being very serious.

"Tell" He said and then told the kids to go and play.

"Kanha, I---" I hesitated trying to find the correct words.

"You want to tell me about Laksh, so tell." He said while sitting on the bench. I was just shocked and was staring at him.

Of course!
He is god.
How would he not know?

"So what about him?" He asked mischievously.

"Kanha, you know everything. " I said childishly.

"But still I want to hear from you, Amrit" He teased.

"Kanha! Please I am trying to be serious" I frowned.

"Ok. Now me everything from the beginning." He said in a serious tone.

I told him everything from how I met Laksh till what he said yesterday.

His expression conveyed that there was something serious which I don't know.

"You still didn't realise, did you?" He asked in a serious tone.

"I am not understanding what you mean. I can understand that there is something I should know but I don't know." I replied feeling confused.

"Where is Laksh from?" He asked as he maintained the seriousness in his tone.

"Parit" I replied as I smile came to my face.

"Don't you think that name is familiar?" He asked as he looked directly into my eyes.

It did sound familiar.
But I am not able to recall.

"Just go to a flashback." He said calmly but still seriously.

Flashback?
Ok.
But how much back?
To my era?

"To your svayamvar" Kanha said breaking my thoughts.

My Svayamvar?
Now that's a memory I don't want to think of.

"Did you remember that king?" He asked while giving the most serious look he had ever given.

"How can I forget him?" I said as my smile faded and looked at him.

The memories started playing in front of me.

"And where did he belong from?" He asked.

His question sent me into confusion.

The memory isn't that clear.
But now that he had asked me.
It's becoming clearer.

"Parit" I replied.

I went to a shock as I realised that they both belong from the same royal family.

Laksh, did mentioned about not being in good relations with Indraprasth and Dwarka.
But he never made it clear why.

"But how, Kanha?" I asked with sadness reflecting in my eyes.

"He is his younger brother. He was never in love with you, Amrit." Kanha said with concern and comfort in his voice. "That was just a plot to take revenge for the insult you did to his elder brother in the svayamvar."

What?
Now, everything seems so different to me.
All that love, all that sweetness were just fake.

"But why me, Kanha?" I said with lot of difficulties not being able to find my voice.
