I don't know what they teach people in attacker 101, but the the person - a guy, I now knew, didn't really have a great grip on me and so I slipped out of his hold.  Quickly I stood up and he followed suit. As soon as he was up I punched him in the jaw.

Ouch!  That hurt like a - no time to think of that now.

I still couldn't make out his face. His hoodie was blocking most of his face and the only visible thing was the jaw line which I had just punch. Where did this guy buy his hoodie?  The hood is way too long!  How did he even know where he was going?

"Wait!" He mubbled rubbing his jaw with one hand the other up.

Like hell I'm going to do that.

I punch him again this time harder in the face, followed by kick to the gut.  He dubbed over and I was just about to knock him out. I locked my fingers together ready to bring down my elbows over the back of his head.

Suddenly, my wrists were grabbed and I started kicking out. I think I elbowed him in the face pretty good, but then I was shoved against the large rock behind me and I was literally caught between a rock and a hard place.

He wasn't much taller then myself. Maybe by half an inch and I thought that maybe I could knee him in the groin. I tried to kick out. Unfortunately he'd already expected this and pushed back with his own leg so that I could no longer do that.  The length of his body completely pinning me in place.

No, no no no.  Not like this. Not again.  Panic flooded through my veins and I couldn't think straight...

"Grab her"  He screeched. Hold her down. "No, no please don't. Don't do this." My head whipped back as someone slapped me in the face. "You will shut up and watch and if I hear so much of a whimper I will happily promise to do the same to you next. Your father has risked everything to negotiate with us for your safety. If you want to risk that then go right ahead."
I pressed my lips together as I watched the man step to the side to reveal my father tied to the chair - unconscious. Fear for my father gripped my throat and I silently shook.

I was shaking.

I was violently shaking and suddenly my attacker shook me.

"Youra!" His voice was clearer this time and I stared at him with complete astonishment as I saw him yank back his hood.

Standing before me was Jade. Looking both horrified and worried.

"Youra, it's me Jade."
