Analize had managed to shake off the worst of the trauma from the previous battle, she was still in a little bit of shock but nothing she couldn't handle.

"Chiron?" She asked.

"Yeah?"

"I just thought....you remember that girl who attacked us back in Landfall?"

"Oh yeah, the cute one who had an unprecedented lesbian attraction to you?"

"Do not remind me of that....but yea, her. I think I might of...hurt her...." her face dropped.

"Why do you think that?"

Blaze interjected. My lady is not completely in control of her new powers.

She nodded in agreement.

"I see, but either way it shouldn't matter if you did, she left us alone."

"That is true...however...my magic is...powerful. I am not exactly sure what it is."

"Dragonfire." Chiron informed her. They were almost at the top of the mountain now, the summit was probably about thirty feet above them or so.

"Dragonfire? You mean...."

"I mean precisely that. First of all, it's blue. Fire magic is generally orange or red, blue is different. Blue flames are not only hotter but they also burn mana itself."

"Mana itself? So I can...burn the mana out of things? The literal force that comes from the anima?"

"Exactly. I've seen it like...well I've not seen it. I read about it. Hang on." Chiron stopped. "Hey Winter, fancy making me some True Ice?"

Not really. Winter was still in Analizes arms, practically sleeping.

"Please...?"

One of the foxes eyes crept open. Since when did you say please? Hey, whatever you're doing, Flame girl, keep doing it. He never says please.

Analize shrugged. "I am not doing anything. Merely traveling with him."

Well being as you asked so nicely.... Winter wiggled her way out of Analizes grip and found a puddle forming at the side of the path, leaking down from the wall. She walked over and shook her body. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes, blowing cold air out of her mouth. The puddle froze into a glistening blue solid. Analize went over and inspected the creation, scooping Winter back up. It looked to be completely smooth, reflecting her image perfectly with no imperfections in the ice as all. Analize wanted to touch it so she extended her free hand.

I would not touch that, Master. Blaze interrupted.

"Why not?"

"True Ice is...well...it freezes whatever it touches. Winter can make it but it uses a lot of her energy." Chiron pointed to the fox that the girl was holding in her left arm. She was completely passed out. "Look." He dug around in his pocket and found a small bronze coin. He flicked it at the ice. It landed a few centimetres in front and rolled over.

The instant it touched the surface, it's momentum stopped. It was completely frozen in place. The bronze surface had joined the shiny blue and more or less completely lost any resemblance of a coin. Now it was just a glistening blue circular lump.

"That is...yes it is good I did not touch it...."

"Told ya. True Ice is very similar to how dragonfire works. It completely freezes the mana inside of an object, and as you know, everyone and everything has mana to feed off."

"Human bones do not." Analize noted, referring back to how her flames stopped burning when the corpses were nothing but bone.

"True, but then that is purely because human manipulation of mana comes from their organs and skin, not from bone matter."

"How do you know that?" She wondered.

"Lots of experimentation with True Ice. Anyways, try touching the ice with your magic."

She nodded. She extended her free hand again and clicked her index finger against her thumb. A small blue flame ignited on her finger tip. She put it up to the ice.

"Now let the flames touch it."

Analize followed his instructions. She manipulated the fire to touch the ice. There was no steam, no bubbling of water, nothing. She scowled and brought back her hand.

"I do not get this."

"Check again."

Analize inspected the ice patch. Where the flame had touched, there was a perfect circle. The ice had completely dissipated. There was no signs of melting, no signs of condensation, no damage at all to the surrounding surface. Just a perfect hole from where the flame contacted.

"What happened?" Blaze hopped off her head and also took a look.

The...this is incredible. The manaflow that usually emanates from mana use is...there is nothing. The mana has completely gone.

Chiron smiled at the girl. "Knew it. You can destroy mana itself with that power."

"But...Winter froze mana..."

"Correct, but True Ice also absorbs it, just like it did that coin. You completely destroyed it without a trace. Oh man am I going to love experimenting with you." He had an insinuative smirk on his face.

"And by experimenting with me you mean...you're going to have to...use me and...experiments involve crude acts and touching do they not....?" Analize was blushing. She had never once even been touched by a man who was not her brother.

"What?! No! I meant experimenting with your magic! Not your body! I mean as pretty as y-" he coughed to get himself back on track. "No. I won't need to touch you. But I may have use for your power in the future." He looked forward and began walking again. She followed him.

"Good. I do not like being touched."

Chiron scratched his head, like he was thinking about something. "Huh. Well that was easier than expected...." he broke into a run.

"HEY! WAIT! WHAT WAS?!" The redhead chased after him, being careful with her footing as to not stumble over the side of the mountain they were now approaching the summit of.
