"I spy with my little eye something beginning with....R."

It is rock.

"What how did you know?!"

It is not hard considering that was the third time you've chosen that.

"Well I suppose...but look there's NOTHING else here."

They'd be traveling for over a day since they'd seen Lysera. The journey had become tedious and boring, very little excitement. Due to constant military patrols and local hunters, the journey through the Southern regions was always incredibly stale. Nothing apart from red stones, magma and the occasional salamander to keep them entertained.

Very true. Blaze climbed up to her head and took a seat, nesting himself in her red hair.

"You'd of thought she would of at least given us a little lift towards Landfall...useless mother."

The queen is a busy person.

Analzise shrugged. "Apparently busy enough to ignore her daughter for five years straight and keep her locked up in Maggard...."

You learnt a lot at that school.

"Not enough."

Well this should keep you entertained. The little red lizard sensed something and dived into her bag.

"What?"

There was a shattering sound. The mountains started to shake and rattle. Analize focussed her mana around her, waving her arms in a circular motion. She dug herself in place, surrounding herself with a small shield of flame.

She traced the source of the power, she could sense magical energy. She looked to her right, they where close to the largest mountain in the area. The last known location of one of the four ancient dragons....Volacions Rest.

An ear piercing roar echoed across the rocky mountain range.

Hm. He woke up.

"Who?!" Analize stared on.

The cap of the mountain began to crack. Flames erupted hundreds of feet in the air, licking the clouds, turning them black with ash.

Another roar came. She covered her ears and strengthened her barrier.

Explosions.

Magma exploded outwards from the volcano, spewing everywhere. "Crap."

She pulled her hands to her body, channeling her energy into her barrier.

Her strength gathered. She closed her eyes, pushing her hands together. "Dragons guard..." she muttered.

Her hands snapped apart, red energy flowed between them. The air around her rippled. She opened her eyes again.

"I'm...gonna die."

A massive volcanic rock was hurtling towards her. She noticed her surroundings. Lava pooled around her out of seemingly nowhere, pushing against the magical barrier. Nowhere to run.

"HELP?!" She screamed at no one.

No. Blaze said, very flatly.

"What do you mean NO?!"

the rock grew larger. "Oh hell." She forced her power into the frontal Dragons Guard.

She closed her eyes again, accepting her fate if this didn't work. Something solid hit her barrier, a large impact draining her Mana severely. She struggled to keep her barriers up, dropping to her knees.
