Chiron sprinted probably around a hundred meters or so up the mountain before tiring out. Analize was a few steps behind.

"Ugh...I wish my...horse...could...climb...mountains..." He panted.

"Horses are not mountain animals."

"Obviously....that's why I had to leave it with that old man at the base..." he stood up straight and huffed. They were at the edge of the summit. Analize overtook him and went to check ahead.

"Oh..."

Chiron took a series of deep breaths and joined the girl. They were looking into a massive crater, must have been around a kilometre in diameter. More or less directly in the centre, there was a jagged rock roughly thirty feet high. "Expecting something a little more?"

"You could say that." Winter wrestled her way free from Analizes arms and stood next to Chiron, her little nap seemed to have helped her energy levels.

There is a lot of residual mana here.

Correct. I can sense it too. Blaze waddled over.

"It is rather a shame we do not have an Earth mage with us." Analize reckoned that one might be of use due to the surrounding area.

"Hell knows. How do you propose we get down there, then?"

"Jump?" She suggested.

Chiron looked down the cliff face into the crater. "Last I checked, I don't have any aerial magic."

Analize smiled. "Maybe you have just got to get creative". She gestured to Blaze who crawled over and climbed up her body. She put her hands by her side and prepared herself.

She extended her legs and pushed off the ground, catapulting herself into the crater.

Chiron watched on. She fell pretty quickly, but occasionally, a small spark came from both her hands, killing her momentum. After a few seconds of this, she touched down on the ground. She turned to look up at them and waved.

Why can't you do that? Winter tilted her head.

"Can I shoot fire?"

Probably? Have you tried?

"No...but I'm not a fire mage you know..."

Eh. True. Your loss. Meet you down there.

"HEY! WA-" Winter began hopping her way down the rocks sticking out the wall. "I swear women will be the death of me..." Chiron thought about what to do. There was a slight chill and denseness to the air.

Chiron sighed. "Screw it."

He took a few steps back, giving himself space to clear the jagged stones. He flexed his fingers, making sure he had the physical ability to cast his spells.

He sprinted, jumping as he got to the ridge.

Air rippled by his body, he was dropping fast, keeping his eyes open, he focused. He was right. The air had high levels of moisture in it, falling through it made it a lot more obvious.

Got it. He thought to himself.

He forced his power through his hands, in a similar way to what Analize did. There was a chill to his finger tips. He felt his momentum slow. He managed to freeze the air around him well enough that it was thick.

"Oh hell." He noticed he was only a few meters away from the ground. He took a breath and willed everything he had to the air that looked to be where he was going to land and shut his eyes.

His landing was cushioned. His body was cold.

He opened his eyes again. It was dark. Am I dead?

No, retard.

There was a uncomfortable scratching on his back. Realising he could move his legs, he got up. Everything clicked and he understood what happened, Winters scratching stopped.

Rising to his feet, he opened his eyes again. There was a soft pile of snow exactly where he landed with a Chiron-shaped hole in it. Confused, he turned to find his friends.

Anazlie clapped. "Impressive."

"I honestly have no idea what I did."

Winter was by his feet.

You managed to create a snow pile, are you really that stupid?

"But how?"

The fox did her equivalent of a shrug, dipping her head.

I thought it was pretty impressive.

"Glad somebody did. Wasn't exactly the solution I was going for." Chiron looked down at his companion, she was staring at Analize and sniggering. Chiron scowled. "What's wrong?"

Oh. Nothing.

After the shock of the decent had worn off, he started to examine the area. They were on rough ground, close to pure rock. There was absolutely no mud, pure rock, that was rather strange considering how dense the air was. Around the outside of the crater, there were some caves cut into the rock faces.

Analize was already walking towards the centre stone, she was around five hundred or so meters away by the time he'd finished his inspection, eventually, he decided it would be best to go and catch up with Analize.

He walked over, she had managed to make it to the rock. She was resting her hand against it.

There is a lot of power emanating from this.

Winter nodded, she could sense it too. Agreed.

Chiron joined the girl in her curiosity. He too laid a hand on it. It seemed to be...pulsing, cold to the touch but was not rugged and stone like. The best way to describe it would have been a soft rock, there was also an odd texture to it.

Winters ears pricked up. COMPANY.
