[chapter six]
Sixth Letter

JENO felt the rest of the day fly by so slowly, and his mind kept wondering back to the letter. He was worried, and anxious, he couldn't focus in half of his classes.

Just as he was about to get in trouble for daydreaming in his class, the bell rang for lunch. Jeno wasn't all excited though as he walked to the cafeteria. Jeno watched everyone scatter to their tables with their friends, and grab lunch trays or have lunches of their own.

Jeno didn't have a lunch, or money.

Out of the corner of his eye, he caught the sight of a gold brown headed boy. He looked over to see Jaemin smiling with his friends, holding a lunch tray in his hands. His angelic smile plastered to his face as his eyes wrinkled in happiness, Jeno felt his heart flutter at the sight. He watched as they sat down together, and his heart heart for a mid moment. He wonders what it would be like to have friends to sit with, to laugh and hang out with them. He couldn't, because he didn't have any.

He walked back into the hallways, away from the lunch room. He then walked up the stairs to the roof, and opened the door as the cool air hit his face. Jeno sighed as he leaned against the wall, and sat down.

He then stared up into the sky, and watched as birds flew by. He noticed that birds always fly in groups, and thought if he was a bird then he wouldn't have to fly alone either.

His mind wondered back to the letter, and thought of where it could be. Jeno then thinks of the person writing to him, hoping that he didn't get the wrong idea. Jeno thinks about who the person might be, and there's only one face that comes to mind.

Na Jaemin.

'No, it can't be him.' Jeno thinks, and closes his eyes slowly.

"It just can't be." Jeno whispers.

"People! Attention!! Give me your attention!" A girl yells, and everyone turns around from their meal to look up at here. Some irritated, others interested, and some not even bothering to listen.

A girl with blonde hair steps onto a table, and pulls her behind her shoulders. She then gives a small cough, and batts her eyes.

"If you know who you are, step forward without further action and I will do no more!" She yells, and everyone lifts an eyebrow in confusion.

Jaemin is currently eating, ignoring every word that she's saying. She was the leader of the cheer squad, and was obsessed with him. He hated her by heart.

"Last chance!" She yells at the top of her lungs.

Everyone is dead silent in confusion, and takes glances around at each other.

"Fine! I gave you a chance!" She teases with a small smile on her face. She then digs in her pocket, and proceeds to pull out a purple letter. Everyone is beyond confused at this point as they stare in disbelief at the paper.

"Confess now! Whose been writing letters to Na Jaemin!"

Jaemin jerked at hearing his name, and looked over his shoulder at the girl. His eyes widened as they caught the sight of the purple letter. His blood ran cold as he felt all eyes on him.

"Jaemin, do you know who wrote this!" She yelled, and he gulped.

He then felt anger build up. Whoever has been writing to him is being ratted out by a complete pain in the neck. He furrowed his eyebrows as he turned around in his chair, and looked at the girl straight in the eye.

"No, and even if I did I wouldn't tell you." He spat. "You know why? Because it's none of your damn business." Jaemin said through gritted teeth, and snickering could be heard along the room. Whispering followed after.

The girls cheeks and ears turned red in embarrassment as she looked around the room, lowering the letter slowly.

"W-well— I—" She stutters, a sob in her throat.

"Get off the table fatass!" Someone yelled, and the room bursted into laughter.

The girl was on the verge of crying, and made an angered noise before running off. Dropping the letter on the table.

Jaemin looked around, and swiftly got up to retrieve the purple letter. He snatched it as he shoved it in his pocket, covering it with his shirt. He then started walking out of the room, unnoticed.

Sneaking out, he finally grasped the letter and quickly opened it.

I'm also a boy, hope you don't find that weird..
Ok my question, who are you?

Reading the letter, he couldn't help a subconscious smile crawl onto his face. Jaemin couldn't help but have his heart flutter at the letter, reading it over and over.

He was a boy.

Jaemin put the note card back into the letter, and thought about the mysterious boy he was writing to. Could he have been in that room?Jaemin thought about how guilty he must feel, and he had to write to him again.

If he did, then he would be caught again. Jaemin thought for a moment, and then thought of an idea. He quickly ran to his last period, which is the others first.

Stepping into the classroom, he looked for any teachers nearby. He quickly went to the teachers desk, and dug in the drawers to find a sharpie. Once he found it, he jogged over to his desk and pushed the chair out of the way. He crouched down and squinted as he opened the sharpie.

He then proceeded to write on the inside of the desk. After, he closed the sharpie and put it back in a rush. Lunch was almost over, and he quickly made his way back to the lunch room to join his friends.

In his mind, he only hoped that the boy saw and would understand what he wrote.
