Kerigan
"What else is there on the list?" I asked Isaac. He grumbled and scanned over the scribbled grocery list again, and glanced at the cart.
"Well, we still havent found that chopped beef?"
"Its chipped beef." I replied, scanning the shelves for the small blue container. Mom wanted me to try and do something normal, so Isaac and I walked to the Walmart down the road to get some food for later that night. Mom wanted to have a movie night, since Isaac has never really seen any movies---
"Kerigan."
My spine tingled. My ears burned. I turned slowly to see my sister standing before me. I gasp and whip around, launching at her for a hug. As I wrap my arms around her, my embrace is met with tense stiffness. I pull back slowly, feeling tears prickling my eyes.
"So you're back." She says, almost accusingly. I frown slightly and take a step back, rubbing my arm.
"U-uh yeah, I... I uh got back a week or so ago.. "
Who the fuck is that? Isaac's angry thoughts swam through my mind.
"How was your vacation?" She slung back, crystal blue eyes hard and cold as ice. I flinched.
"Vacation?" I asked, still genuinley confused by what was happening.
"Yeah. Vacation. While the rest of us were working hard to graduate and actually have decent lives, you were off wherever, doing whatever, with your stupid little boyfriend, ruining mine and a few other peoples lives." She took a step forward. Her hair was blonde and bobbed short. She wore nurse scrubs. Her stretched ears were devoid of any jewelry, just hanging there limply.
This is not my sister.
"My time away was as far away from a fucking vacation as you can fucking get." I growl back. Isaac stepped forward, priming himself to catch me if I attack. Her hate filled eyes flicked back at him before she snarled.
"Ah so you disappear, with MY boyfriend, for almost 3 years, and you come back with a completely different idiot than the one everyone thinks "kidnapped" you. Sounds like a fucking vacation to me." She growls, air-quoting the word kidnapped.
"How the fuck are you gonna stand here and act like you know at all what I fucking went through?" I hissed, stepping into her personal space. She glared straight into my eyes, and I could feel the anger and hatred rolling off of her in waves.
"Cut the bullshit you dumb slut. We all fucking know you're the one who killed your shitty step father, and Toby took the fall. You werent kidnapped, you were running from your actions." She growled once more. Tears welled in my eyes and my teeth grit together. My fists curled so tightly that my nails were digging into my palm.
"You have no fucking clue what I went through you stupid fucking bitch. Keep your fucking trap shut before I shut--"
"Babe? Are you over--" Kirstan and I both jerked back at the sound of another voice. It was then that I noticed Isaac's fist wrapped around the fabric of my shirt. The newcomer looked between Kirstan and I and backed away slowly. "I'll leave you to it."
"So who's replacing who now?" I snapped at her, and she swung her head back at me.
"I wouldn't have had to replace anyone if someone hadnt run off with the love of my life. You should have never gotten involved with Toby. You were always toxic, always me-me-me selfish." She mocked.
I saw red.
I tore away from Isaac's grip and got so close to her I could see the veins in her eyes.
