Kerigan

We had laid on the porch for a good fifteen minutes before Isaac could move again. He helped me stand up and dragged me inside, giving the groceries to mom, muttering something quick about "got into fight, got called a slut and a murderer, has a splitting headache, just gonna take her to nap," before Isaac came back out from the kitchen and practically carried me upstairs.

"I used magic." I whispered once we were nearing my room.

"I know." He replied gently.

"I dont know what I did." I whispered again, desperately hoping he would know.

"You were pulsing with anger. That's all I know." The door opened and he gently helped me onto my bed. I laid down, closing my eyes.

"I had a dream about Toby. He was here. He murdered my family. He looked different." I whisper, and Isaac was quiet for a long time, before he gently leaned forward and kissed my forehead.

"He won't find us." He reassured me. My hands twisted in his shirt, and I whimper softly when he tries to pull away. My eyes slide open, and though I dont slip into his mind, I can see what he sees. My huge bright blue ocean eyes, pleading with him. My freckled cheeks, already rounding back out after a week of healthy, consistent eating, flushed as pink as my soft pouting lips.

Fuck. His mind whispered.

"Please." I begged quietly. His pumpkin eyes searched mine for a few moments more before my eyes closed and his lips met mine.

It was still just as perfect as before. Just as calming, relaxing, fulfilling. I was exhausted, and just absolutley melted into his kiss, my clenched fists trembling as I whimper gently against him. He pulls back for a moment to make sure my whimper wasnt out of pain, before gently cupping my face and pressing his lips to mine once more.

God, dont ever let this end. I thought hopefully. I mean, God owed me didnt she? After all this shit shes put me through, I deserve two more fucking minutes of this absolutley perfect kiss--

"KERIGAN! Come down and help prepare dinner!" My mom screamed up the stairs, and Isaac jerked back guiltily. I kept my eyes closed and my fists tangled in his shirt. My breathing picked up in anger, my jaw clenching.

"Lil Witch." He whispered gently, rubbing my cheek. I sigh and sit up slowly.

"I have to take a shower. Go on down and help mom." My feet slide out of bed and I stand shakily, taking withering steps towards my bathroom. I turn to close the door, to find him still sitting on the bed, staring at his hands.

I shut and lock the door, and lean my back against it.

Alright. Let's see if I can fucking control this.

I closed my eyes, and focused on the magic swirling around in the earth. It built up in me, filling me from my feet, slowly up my legs, into my body, my arms, my head, finally swirling in a ball of energy in my chest. I focus on that energy and press my hands against the wood of the door, imagining that ball of energy shooting through the air and connecting me to Isaac.

Outside the door, he gasps and launches up, looking around in fear. His emotions consumed me. This time, he couldn't hide his thoughts from me.

What is she doing in there? Is she hurt? Is she drawing on me for energy?

"Kerigan?" He asked. I couldnt reply.

Oh God, please tell me shes alright. Shes not answering, the showers not on, what's happening?
