I'd been driving for an hour or so. Music was blaring through the car speakers. I was speeding as much as I could, I knew no cops would pull me over at 4 am. I'd made it about 3 towns over, into a little village that was even more desolate than my town.

I pulled up to a red light, and stopped, rolling down my windows and taking a breath of the cool, early morning air. I'd been crying for most of the drive, now.

Something in the rearview mirror caught my eye. I glanced up, expecting to see a deer in the taillights.

My heart stopped beating. The red light glittered off of his orange goggles. Hs gloves hand reached up to pull his mouth guard down, and he gave me a sickening smile that said "I found you. I win."

I shifted into reverse.

"No the fuck you dont." I whispered, and floored it before he could react. The back of the car slammed into him, and he disappeared beneath my undercarriage. I pulled back enough that I could see his broken and bruised form in the road. He moved slightly, his shoulder and leg looking twisted in ways that shouldnt be possible.

The light turned green. He looked up, one of his goggles broken as his eye filled with fear. I grinned and threw it into drive.

There was a sickening crunch as I drove over him a second time and sped off, not looking back.

Well... not looking back too much.
