-Present Time-

After constant nagging by Sam, I was finally able to realize one of her biggest dreams. We were currently in South Korea for a meet and greet by one of her favorite K-Pop groups. It was a first for us both and it was honestly a bit hectic, but it made Sam happy. If she's happy then so am I. We were both raised in foster care and after spending time together I grew fond of her. We're like sisters, and I even managed to bring her to live with me after she turned 17. She doesn't know about me, for the 3 years we were apart I let her believe I managed to get a good paying job at some company.

It's not an entire lie, they do pay well, it's just, this job doesn't allow me to tell her the entire truth. I look towards Sam who is smiling wildly waiting for the event to begin. At least something good came out of my foster home experience.

"It's times like these that I'm grateful I let you teach me Korean. Who knew you were a multilingual? That company you work for has brought nothing but good things in our lives."

I smile at Sam, it's true, my job required me to learn many languages including Korean. I wasn't bad, I was average, but constantly listening to Sam's K-Pop music only served as practice for me. Because of my language abilities, I offered teaching Sam the basics in Korean, when I realized she was a quick learner I taught her more advanced grammar. She's basically on the same level as me so I literally taught her everything I know. What surprised me more was her motivation to keep going with the language classes. She usually slacks in the field of education and it becomes a bit frustrating for both me and her.

"Well it's a good thing you say that cause I might have to leave for a business trip sometime soon."
This catches her attention, she's always upset when I have to leave on these "business trips".

"When and how long?"

"It's not too bad this time minimum two days max five. As for the when, well I'm really sorry sis, but you're going home on your own."

"What! Are you serious! I can't go grocery shopping by myself much less travel on a plane on my own! Come on Sara, don't leave me all by myself!"

"Hey, it's about time you grow up, you're 18, you can do it, I believe in you. Besides I already asked Spence to pick you up from the airport when you arrive back home. You won't be completely alone."

"You already asked Spence? Sara exactly how long have you been withholding this information from me?"

"I'm sorry, withholding? Since when do you use big words?"

"Sarai!"

"Fine! I've known about a week now. Planned everything out too. When you get home Spence is picking you up, taking you home and I even called your friends earlier letting them know they were free to go to our place to keep you company. Obviously the same rules apply to them as they do to you. No making messes, don't play with the utilities, lock the door and windows at all times, don't let yourself starve, and if you need anything-"

"Let Spence know by going next door and asking. Seriously Sara, I am no child, no need to repeat these rules over and over"
I roll my eyes. Yea now she's not a child, not even a minute ago she was complaining about how she couldn't navigate supermarkets, now she's all grown up. Must be the mention of her friends and the newly gained freedom at our place. I guess I have to call Spence to keep an eye on the kids. Never could trust teenagers these days.

"Everyone, everyone, please welcome on stage BTS!" the MC announces.
I hear shouts and greetings everywhere around me as the group of 7 are walking onto the stage.

"2, 3, Bangtan! Annyeonghaseyo Bangtan Sonyeondan imnida!"

I realized as I was writing that I'm gonna be going back and forth a lot so I put the time of the chapter at the top. I also realized that BTS won't be featured much in the beginning. They're most prominent as the story progresses. Thank you for reading and hope you enjoy!
