The Plan of the Angels

Chapter 8

-Present Time-

We made it to the restaurant safely and I have never felt more adrenaline rush through me then when I fight exiles. As soon as he parked the car I am already scolding him.

"Spence you ass! I told you to not do anything reckless and that's exactly what you just finished doing!"

"Sara babe chill, no one died and last I checked a car crash won't cause us much damage."

"You reckless idiot. Give me the keys."

"No"

"Spencer Grigori, I am not joking give me the goddamn keys!"

"Ok, but is god real like has your maker told you cause I have asked mine and-"

"Spence I swear I will literally fight you and we both know you will take an awful beating."

Spence looks at me with puppy eyes and when he meets my stubborn face he knew I wouldn't budge. He sighs dejectedly and hands over the car keys onto my open palm. I pocket the keys and point him towards the front of the restaurant. I hear a chuckle and realize Sam is still comfortable in the back seat of the car.

"Marriage goals" she says as she gets out of the car.

"Get your ass in there too! Unless you also want a scolding from me." I jokingly say. I make sure to put the roof of the car back and that it's locked. After double checking I headed inside where Spence and Sam were already looking at the menus.

"Nice of you to join us Miss Killjoy. Are you ordering something boring like your sense of adventure?" I sat down and looked at my menu as I spoke to him

"Shut it Spence. You went overboard and the last thing we need is to alert someone of our presence."

"I guess but still. I got that convertible to satisfy my need for speed. Thanks to you that quench will never be satisfied. Sigh. If only someone could make this up to me."

"What do you want?"

He slides his phone over to me and I see that his convo with Josephine is open.

Josephine: I have a mission for you if you would like

Spence: I'm not in the area

Josephine: I know where you are, and I heard Sarai is with you too. It's up to you. Although, I did let the locals know of your presence there and let's just say they were shocked at the news of a glamor and shield user in their midst. They currently find your techniques... useful for a certain situation they have going on.

Spence: What's the mission?

Josephine: Won't say unless you agree. Of course the girl seems to be deemed valuable too

I look up at Spence once I'm done reading the convo. He pockets his phone at me and shrugs.

"I'm completely indifferent about it. I know you and Josephine are not on the best terms but they seem to need as many helping hands as possible. Just know that I agree with whatever you choose. I got your back babe."

I look at Sam sitting across from me who's scrolling through Twitter. She's not a kid anymore, she can handle herself  I tell myself. I nodded my head at Spence and wait for him to give me more details. The rest of the evening went as planned. After ordering we talked about the end of the trip and I told Spence I'd buy him a plane ticket home since my recent event was what rushed him to the other side of the world.

As we were eating dinner, a group of men made there way to a table across from us. Dressed in dark clothing and masks and caps hiding their identity from us. I didn't think much of it since I didn't experience any of my senses but something felt weird. I look at Spence to see if he feels something off too but only see him enjoying his food. That's so odd maybe he needs time to sense it? For some reason not only do my senses seem broader but I am also more sensitive to angelic presence. I can sense exiled angels and Grigoris quicker than a normal Grigori but this feeling isn't like either. I stare at the group across from us clearly enjoying themselves. I continue staring wondering if maybe I'm making this up until one of the people looks at my direction and catches me staring. It was then I realized who I was looking at. Jeon Jungkook.
