(Teen wolf)
26 October 1983, Sunday"C'mon Nes!" Lucy shouts from behind the tall, steel fence.
"I don't think we should be out here..." I glare at the darkness, and the familiar rustle of trees in the slight breeze. I live here, just a little beyond this fence, deep within the heart of Beacon Hills.
But of course, Lucy doesn't know that."Could you stop being so paranoid for a second?"
Just then, I hear a man's voice, from a distance too far for Lucy's sound range; "Hey! Hey stop right there!"
He's getting closer.
"Shit."
I use my super strength and speed to lift me right off my feet, and over the fence, before Lucy even has time to blink.
"Woah...Nes, you didn't tell me you started gymnastics!" She stares.
I grab her hand, tightly, in my sweaty palms, and jerk her whole body with me as I run; her startled legs try to catch up.I lower my pace, as I usually would, when running with people who are not...gifted like I am, although, it seems as if Lucy is already out of breath beside me. So I slow down to a stop.
"Nes...what...how..." She pants.
My eyes catch the brightness of a flashlight, and I quickly hide behind a tree, pulling Lucy with me.
She breathes into my ear. "What now?""I know you're in here!" The man- deputy- shouts.
"This is deputy Harrison from Beacon Hills Sheriff county department! I saw you at the fence!""Ohh.." She whisper's.
"Shhh!" I put my finger on my lip and look at her with large eyes.
She mouthes back the word "Sorry".Deputy Harrison hangs around for a few more minutes until he feels like he's searched enough, and starts walking back towards the fence.
When he's completely out of sight, we come out of hiding."I told you we shouldn't be out here!" I say angrily.
"Oh c'mon, it wasn't that bad. Besides, how would I know 'deputy Harrison' was gonna be on patrol tonight?" She smirks.
Lucy has always been a rebellious girl, and I couldn't imagine the havoc she'd cause if she had advanced abilities, like me, a member of the Hale family.Lucy would freak out and probably kill me if she found out I was born a werewolf, and who could blame her? We've been friends for quite some time now, and I've hidden this really big secret...
But I don't think she's ready to discover the supernatural world just yet."Lucy, lets get out of here."
"Fine." She sighs. "We'll go over to my house and have a boring sleepover like we usually do."
I roll my eyes.
"I love having boring sleepovers at your place. It's so much more peaceful than mine."
It's never been easy living with my whole family, but I have been since I was four years old, and I guess now I just have to deal with it.It's a gloomy walk back to Lucy's house, no cars, no people, no sounds. Only the light breeze that tingles my skin.
I occasionally glance at Lucy to see her sulking, and eventually ask, "Okay, what was it you wanted to see in the woods so badly?"
"Well, I'm still new here. And...a little curious."Shivers run up my spine. We stop walking.
"Why are you curious? Did you...hear something?"
"No. Did you?" She looks at me with big, shiney, brown eyes.
"No." I glare back.
We stare at each other for a few more seconds, and then break into wheezing laughs."You got me!" I say through small coughs, but she really had me scared for a second.
My mom would kill me if Lucy found out. We're meant to be one of the most honorable werewolf family's in Beacon Hills- as well as the protectors. We enter Lucy's street, and not long after, arrive at the front door.
