(Teen wolf + The chilling adventures of Sabrina)
The lodge we enter is small, like the town itself, yet better than the others we stayed in.
Once again we pair up and go to our rooms."This really has been the longest day." I sigh, and kick off my boots.
"Sure has." Lucy agrees.
I grab the Polaroid camera from Lucy's bag and randomly snap a candid picture of her. It slides out and she looks perfect with her short brown hair and white tank top.
"What was that for?" She squints from the unexpected flash.
"Write the date on it. I'd like to remember what happened today."
I hand her the picture, then lie on the small bed next to hers.
As Lucy digs in her bag for a pen, she asks, "How are you part of the supernatural world, yet unaware of so many supernatural creatures?"Lucy always asks the right questions. The ones I'd like answers to, myself.
"In all honesty, my cousin Talia teaches me a lot of things, although I'm not always paying attention."
Remembering something to add on, I say, "Like, the kanima, for example. It was only after you told me about it that I recalled the time she had too."
Lucy admires her writing on the Polaroid.
"Glad to know I'm not the only one you ignore."
I sigh heavily. "There's a lot going on in my head Lucy."
She sits up on one elbow. "Stuff like...?"Thoughts buzz through my mind.
"My father. Don't know what happened to him at all. Emel, my older sister. She hates all of us because she isn't a werewolf. Tim, Billy. Deputy Harrison-"
"Deputy Harrison?" Lucy is alerted. "The deputy from the Preserve that Sunday?"I completely forgot to mention it.
"Yeah. Didn't tell you about it, but he gave my brother and I a ride home from Natalie's party. While we were in the car we picked up a scent... My mother's."
Lucy takes a minute.
"You think he knows something?" She says.
"No. I think he's part of it."
"Part of...?"
"My aunt's murder. I told you she was the alpha, remember?"
"Oh yes, Beverly." My friend recalls.
"My mom said the kanima attacked them. But the weird part was... It used a knife. Not claws. I don't understand why a kanima would use a weapon instead of claws. I've seen it up close and trust me, they're deadly."
I frown.
"It just doesn't make sense."
My words hang in the air.
The two of us stay quiet, yet our minds speak so loudly. Before I drift off, one last question about today's incidents remain unanswered.
"Lucy?" I check if she's awake.
"Hmm?" She replies, half asleep.
"Why didn't Natalie scream?"My witch friend nearly laughs, but I can tell she has no energy for that.
"Oh Nes, you really do crack me up. Vampires have the ability to compell. It basically means they can make people do things against their will."
"Like mind control?"
"I guess."
"Similar to the way a kanima has no control over themselves?"
"Similar." Lucy glances at me.
"What are you trying to say?"
"I don't know."
Confusion wouldn't be the correct word to use, but I don't think the word that describes my current state of mind exists."Nes, Do you still suspect Billy and Tim?"
Maybe Timothée didn't show any signs, but what about Billy? I've known him a long time, and he's been acting strange lately; lurking around Argent's house, being nervous on the bus, friendly to me at times, doing THINGS with my sister... THINGS which I'm still unaware of.
"I don't know that either."
Thoughts take me back to Natalie's diary.
Lucy covertly slipped it back into her bag while she was passed out.
Luckily, the girl regained consciousness before 4pm, and we didn't have to explain what happened by the time we met Mrs. Barron again."Listen up you red-headed runt." Lucy banged her fist on the bathroom wall. We made sure it was empty before huddling Natalie in, and locking the door with a spell.
"We saved your life. And that's right by the way- Vampires and werewolves EXIST. If you tell anyone about it, they're going to rip you to shreds, bit by bi-"
"Lucy!" I gave her a warning glare, then muttered, "We agreed on no threatening, remember?"
She rolled her eyes and backed away.
I carefully approached Natalie, scared out her wits, collar drenched in blood."Natalie," I began, but soon realized I didn't quite know what to say.
So I showed her by revealing my golden eyes, and holding her hands.
She was a bit tense, but soon relaxed. Her scent told me that she was no longer afraid."You won't hurt me?" Her voice sounded small.
I reassured her by nodding with a smile. The same kind of smile Stefan had. A friendly one.
"I would never. All I'm asking is that you keep my secret. Can you do that?"
She nodded.
My original plan was to scare her, but I figured she'd been scared enough for today. We found a scarf in her backpack.
She wore it around her neck to hide the blood stains on her light clothes.
And then we left the bathroom.I've made it far enough to have suspects, but that still doesn't solve the problem. I'm still not sure who the kanima is, and now there's a master to worry about too.
Closing my eyes, I forget all of it, and allow sleep to take over.Just then, someone frantically knocks on the door.
