Meanwhile at the Hale house that morning...

Taylan knew something was wrong. But it wasn't until he'd gone to wake his sister for school that he found out he was right.

"Mom!" He panicked as he rushed downstairs.
"Mom! Talia!" He tried again. And soon enough, everyone filled the living room from all corners of the Hale house.

"What's wrong Taylan?" Talia, the new alpha, asked with concern.
"Sh-She's not in her room. She's gone-"
Taylan stuttered. He always had a hard time controlling his emotions. Especially, fear.
Sometimes he's able to control it. But most of the time, it controls him.

"Emel? But Emel isn't ever here-" His mother replied, expressionless.
Since she returned from the traumatic alpha meeting, in which she lost her sister, Cordelia's been in a state of depression, and has shown lack of interest to almost everything.

Taylan shook his head in annoyance, "No, not Emel, Nes. Nes is gone."

The Hale's took a minute to process what Taylan said. It surprised all of them, since Nes was the least extrovert of them all, and hated going out unnecessarily- unless she was at a sleep over at her friend's house. She hated being surrounded by so many people in the Hale house, yet spent most of her time there.
Alone in her room.
It was almost unbelievable that Nes was gone. Surely, this was not her own doing.

"Nes?" Peter asked. "Quiet, incorruptible Nes with a tendency to asocial behavior?"
The ten year old left the rest of the family in a bizarre state of mind.
He was an exceptional student, and A candidate of English. Talia would have to admit that her little brother's vocabulary was far more advanced than hers was at his age, or anyone else she'd ever met. He was the winner of five consecutive Spelling Bee championships, and had several medals and trophies in his room from all the other contests he'd participated in.
Peter is an intelligent, determined boy...with a lot of anger issues.

"Yes, Peter. Nes isn't in her room." Taylan said, more paranoid each time he had to repeat it.
He couldn't shake the feeling that the omega had something to do with her disappearance...

Suddenly Talia's eyes started glowing with their new, ruby shine. It was still unbelievable that Beverly died and left behind her oldest child, Talia, to inherent her alpha status, along with its abilities, and the Hale's were still adapting to the change.
"I know why she's gone." Talia explained. "She's going to find Emel."

The Hale's stared.
"But... she doesn't ever look for Emel." Taylan thought out loud.
"Exactly. No one ever does. And recently, Nes has been quite upset about that. She feels like we've been excluding Emel because she's not a werewolf."
Nothing Talia said was a lie... up until that point.
"So she, approached me last night, asking my permission to find her. And of course, as the new alpha, I have the authority to make decisions. And, although I didn't consult all of you," she paused, and turned to Nes's mom, "especially you, Cora," she used the nickname her mother gave Cordelia, which sparked a moment of surprise in her aunt, "but I thought the right thing to do was let her go. So she snuck out."

Atticus narrowed his eyes at his cousin.

Why was she covering up for Nes?

As far as he knew, him and Nes were the only ones involved in the plan.

Were Emel and Talia part of it as well?

He doubted it. But it was all too strange. He listened to Talia's heartbeat the whole time she spoke, and didn't hear a single rise or skip of a beat, which only meant she was telling the truth. Or was a good liar.
He was leaning towards the second one.

Taylan narrowed his eyes. He had a close relationship with his sisters, and knew that if Nes really felt this way and wanted to do this, she'd tell him about it. The two of them would've searched together.
They've always been a team.
Something just didn't add up.

Peter rolled his eyes and made his way to the kitchen for breakfast. He wasn't someone who pondered over things.
Maybe it's because he's too young to let anything bother him that much, or maybe it's just his personality.
Either way, he was hungry, and since Talia said what sounded like the truth, he didn't quite care.

Cordelia looked disoriented. On one hand, her daughter's were getting along, but on the other, they both might be lost. She chose to believe they would find each other and come back home.

Edward didn't know what to think. He was always away on business trips, and hardly spent time with his own son, let alone nieces. All he hoped was that they were safe. He couldn't bear another loss, not after his older sister, Beverly.

Talia knew she was taking a risky step with that lie. Emel could easily return home before Nes got back from the trip, and Talia would be left on the edge of the cliff.
All she could do was rely on her new alpha instincts, and pray that it all works out.
