(Teen wolf + Stranger Things)

Slightly shook from our meeting with Emel's so called 'fiancè', Att and I decide to head back home and inform the others.

We walk in a familiar silence.
"Still can't believe she's not a prostitute." Att says, breaking the quietness.
I sigh in return, wondering if I should bring up my theory.
"Honestly, I'm just glad that she's been safe with that nutcase Greg this whole time."
"Yeah, the guy really isn't the brightest." Att agrees, and we laugh softly.

The theory gnaws at my brain, making me itch to say something.
"Who do you think the omega is?" I start.
"Well... They said it's probably a high school student, so I'm guessing it is?" He thinks. "Why?"
"I just..." Shaking my head, I decide it's too pathetic and say "nevermind."
But Att hangs on. "What is it Nes?"
"I just feel like... What if it's Emel?"
Atticus considers the thought for just a second, then starts laughing obnoxiously.

"I'm not joking." I say firmly.
"Look, Nes," Att gradually stops laughing, "It's really hard to believe Emel has anything to do with werewolves. She literally despises us. Why on earth would she be the omega? And if she really wanted to be like us, which you and I know isn't what she wants at all, why wouldn't she just ask aunt Bev for The bite?

I actually didn't think about that at all.

"You're right." I shrug. "She would've just asked. A long time ago."

We make a left turn, heading toward the woods, when I spot a disturbingly familiar blue Chevrolet, parked near the stop street.

Billy Hargrove.

Colour rises to my cheeks as I remember the last time I thought about Billy, and how embarrassing I felt, even though I was the only one who knew about it.
"Shit." I whisper to myself.

I suddenly grab Att's arm, wanting to turn around, he looks at me with confusion, and then I see something odd- a girl with long, jet black hair, and high heels jumps off from the passenger side.
Att notices too, and we dive behind the nearest wall to watch.

For just a moment, the girl turns, and we recognize her, undoubtedly, as Emel Hale.
Panick washes over me like a tsunami, however, Att appears more suspicious than afraid.
Some of his suspicious, yet calm behavior radiates to me, as a result of being near a pack member. But it doesn't help much anyway.

"Emel? Wh-what is she doing with Billy?" I stammer.
"Billy Hargrove? The guy who used to bully you in middle school?"
I roll my eyes, suddenly forgetting that slightly odd feeling I experienced the other day, and remember that dingus for who he really is.
"Yeah. That Billy."
A smile creeps on Att's face. "He really pisses you off doesn't he?"
I shake my head frowning at the car, completely ignoring Att.
"I mean," he continues, "you reek of anger."

Emel starts toward the woods. As she walks away, Billy drives in the opposite direction- he's coming towards us.
"Quick!" I say, and shove Att into a shrub on someone's lawn.
Billy cruises by without noticing a thing.
I notice something odd about him- he looks tired. Drained out. Miserable.

But...doesn't he always look like that?
No. He usually just looks unsatisfied and angry with everyone and everything. This is different. Definitely different.

Once Billy is completely out of sight, I emerge from the hiding place.
"How would she even know him? She's so much older than us." I think out loud, forgetting for a brief moment that Att is with me.
"You know what- after finding out she's not a prostitute, nothing about Emel surprises me anymore."

I frown and rub my temples. Too many things just don't make sense- why did that creature show up and not kill anyone? Or did it? Did we miss that? Why is Billy talking to my sister? Why did Deputy Harrison have my mother's scent on him?
The questions are clouding my brain and overwhelming me. My heart starts racing, sweat drips down my forehead, claws rip through my nail beds.

Att puts his hand on my back gently and speaks in the same tone Talia would if she were here right now,
"I didn't mean it, you know I was just joking-"
"It's not that." I cut him off, taking deep breaths, while feeling my claws retreat.
"I'm just so confused. I don't know what's going on, nor if anything links up to anything, or if there's more than one problem here." I finally say out.

I close my eyes and take a moment to think about everything...trying to sieve out a possible solution, or place to start.

Billy. Harrison. Hunter. Mom. Aunt Bev. Omega. Emel. Party.
Where do I begin?

And then, something that completely slipped my mind appears like a pathway in a dark forest.
"The trip..." I whisper with realisation.
"What trip?" Att frowns.
"The Riverdale trip!" I intend smiling, but it comes out as an awkward laugh.
"That should be the best place to start."
"What?"
"If the Omega is a high school student, he'd be going on that trip. If I can find him, I can get some answers. Answers like, who bit him, what he did to that hunter... What he is."
"What if you're just assuming all of this?" Att asks skeptically.
"What if I'm not?" I look deep into his grey eyes, and he stares back into my brown ones. He wants to believe I'm right- I can feel it. He also wants some sort of direction; I think we all do.

Even if I'm wrong, it's worth a try.

"Fine. Say you are," He considers, "but how are you going to get Talia to let you go? She's afraid to let us go out alone anywhere in Beacon Hills, forget Riverdale."

I pause to think about it.

"All we need is a signature on the reply slip. You could sign it- they wouldn't know."
"So...you're trying to say that you want me to forge a signature, help you sneak out of Beacon Hills, so that you can go on the Riverdale trip, with no other members of the pack, where your life could be in literal danger, just so you can have a lead in this omega situation?"
"Yes." I blink. "So will you do it?"
Att's hard expression breaks into a smooth curved smile.
"Of course I'm going to do it."
