(Teen wolf + The chilling adventures of Sabrina + The vampire diaries)
Timothée is living proof that you can be intimidated and intimidating at the same time.
So weird, yet so charming.
It's almost as if he doesn't exist. The waitress finally arrives with our food. I ordered one of those large single slices of pizza, with the extra cheese topping, and Tim ordered the same thing, but with pepperoni instead.
"Agh. Can't stand pepperoni." I mumble, watching him take a huge bite of the large slice and find myself wanting to gag.
"Well I can't stand all that cheese."I didn't think he heard me. Does this mean... he has superhearing?
Maybe I'm overexaggerating. Lucy was right, niether of the boys showed any kind of supernatural signs that indicated they were the kanima's.
Or kanima. I'm not even sure if anything I heard that night was true anymore. Perhaps, I did hallucinate it.Besides, after spending this little time with Tim, I've noticed something about him that separates him from my world.
He's fascinated with it.
Someone who's a part of something couldn't possibly be as obsessed with it as Tim.
I've never heard a werewolf say that they wish they were a creature in a Stephen King book.
Why yearn to be a fictional creature, when you are one in real life?
To us, we don't live in a fictional world. This world is our only world.
The thought never would've occurred. It's quiet for a while, and I notice the growing number of heartbeats in the Grill. A few of them are from school, and most are strangers.
There's an old jukebox in the corner, next to the counter. I watch as a young man is pressured by his girlfriend to play a song.
"C'mon Johnny, just one song. Pleeaasee?"
"Oh alright then-"
He gives up and slips a few coins into the box.
The girl analyzes the playlist, and soon enough presses a button.
Suddenly the room is filled with music.
I recognize the song as 'Don't you want me' by The Human League."No. Way." Tim looks up excitedly. "I didn't even know they had a Jukebox."
People are getting up from their seats and starting to dance.
Since niether of us are any more than anti-social hermit crabs, Timothée and I are quite content watching them from our seats- although Timothée looks more enthusiastic than I do.Two blondes get carried away and suddenly approach us.
"Let's have fun!" The preppy one insists, tugging my arm.
"I'd rather not- thanks." I refuse.
Timothée glances at me for a quarter of a second before half-heartedly replying, "Me niether."
Judging from his reaction to the jukebox, I get the feeling he does want to join them, but is resisting because of me.
It makes me feel iniquitous.
"Actually, yeah." I change my mind, "Let's go."
The blonde girl drags me with her.Soon enough, we're part of the crowd.
Timothée surprises me as I watch him gradually let go of his timid personality, and embrace the boldness within.
He moves so fluently and aestheticly to the beat, it's as if he controls the music with his dancing. Something about his swiftness stirs an unnatural feeling inside me.
I could watch him forever. It isn't long until he notices.
But when I look into his droopy eyes, they're not the same eyes I'd looked into a little while ago, when we first spoke.
They're not gentle and shy...
But rather confident and seductive.
The song, as if to intensify the moment say the words,
' Don't... Don't you want me? 'It takes a few seconds to recall that he is made up of two contrasting qualities, and that now the intimidating side is dominant.
He slides over to me, slender hands place themselves on my waist and I begin moving with him.
His touch is like ice on fire, cooling my flame and relieving my tension.
I loosen up, not caring who's watching, and find myself actually having... Fun.
"I'm enjoying this!" I say over the music.
"Me too!" Timothée shouts back.
Just then, out of nowhere, a hand grabs me with such force, that I jolt back with it, loosing sight of Timothée and move out of the crowd."Hey!" I gasp at the unexpected grabber.
"Nes! What is wrong with you?" Lucy says, upset. Here we go again.
"Lucy, I'm so sorry but, Timothée approached me and I thought it was a good idea to find out-"
"But you could've told me-"
"I know!" I cut her off before we argue. "I know. I'm sorry Lucy."
She shakes her head and rolls her eyes.
"This is the last time- I swear."
"Whatever." She sighs, "Anyway, while you were off partying with Mr. Skeleton I was finding out what Natalie knows..."
She reaches into her backpack and pulls out a pink book.
"And I managed to steal this. I haven't looked at it yet but I think it's her diary-"
Lucy holds the book like a trophy.
Anticipation gnaws at me, and I grab it from her hands to start violently paging through.
"Lucy..." I start, "This is her diary."
We look at each other as if a nod from either of us meant it's an OK thing to go through someone's private thoughts.
We shrug as if to say "It's just Natalie" and proceed.I skim through the words. It's mostly 'Dear Diary, Jeffrey didn't notice me today', but when I get to Monday's date it changes.
Mon, 3 Nov '83
Dear DiaryI don't know what I saw today, but this morning Nes and I encountered that bastard, Billy Hargrove. She kept going on about how he knows her sister or something like that. But Billy was utterly confused and she got very angry.
The thing I didn't understand was... The blood in her hands. She had her fists in her pockets, but- I saw. I know what I saw. I'm not crazy.~N
Lucy and I look up at each other with concern.
Although we had the feeling she knew anyway... This was proof.
"We have to do something with this book." Lucy says.
"Not yet. We need to confront her."
Lucy's expression brightens, "So we get to threaten her?"
"No." I frown. "We just need to scare her."I hadn't noticed, but the song ended a while ago and people were getting back to their seats, laughing and still enjoying themselves.
However, the mystery boy is nowhere to be seen.
