Chan started nervously laughing as he talked, "Seungmin, what are you talking about?"

"He wants to know why we didn't tell him we were celebrating today. He also wants to know why we've been so distant recently, saying 'we're never focused'."

The 9 boys simultaneously facepalmed as Jisung's breath started quickening, "Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. We are going to die. I have come to a conclusion that, tomorrow, we are going to die."

Jungha gripped his forearms and reassured him that they were not, in fact, going to die.

"Okay guys, listen up," Mr Bang Chan spoke up gathering their attention with the clap of his hands.

"We are going to go to practice tomorrow, of course, but don't worry about this situation, alright? I will explain what happened and we'll be fine."

The other boys nodded their heads, some simultaneously pumping their fists in the air for reassurance it seemed.

"Okay, I have to get home actually. School tomorrow," Jungha rubbed her cold hands together and brought her shoulders up to warm her goosebump-covered neck.

Her 9 friends hugged her, Chan's hug being slightly longer than usual, or maybe that was her imagination, and waved her off as she walked the distance from their dorm to hers.

"Hey, Jen," The young schoolgirl started, her phone pressed against her ear as she tidied her desk.

"Jungha, my favourite human! What's up?"

The addressed girl laughed at the comment, "Not sure actually, just felt like talking to someone. The boys and I went out to eat for Hyunjin's birthday today which was really fun," she smiled at the memories.

"Hyunjin? Hwang Hyunjin? Oh my gosh, I forgot that you being so close to Chan would make you friends with his members! Slip my name in there, will you?"

The girls laughed together as they talked for hours on end, slowly diminishing the chance of them waking up early enough for school.

"Oh, shi-"

"Beep," Jennie interrupted with a giggle. "Don't swear!"

Jungha inhaled sharply as she continued her sentence, minus the swearing. "Tomorrow is the first day I see Joohyun after 'the incident'."

Her friend mirrored her shocked expression, bringing a handful of mauve nails up to her gaping mouth.

"Oh shi-"

"Don't swear!" Jungha interrupted, laughing, quickly cutting herself off. "I can't laugh now, oh my gosh."

"Jungha, don't worry, okay? You have Jeongin, Hyunjin, Seungmin and I to protect you!"

The worried girl nodded, taking a deep breath as she checked the time on her phone.

Reminding her friend of the treacherous day they'd face in the few hours to come, the girl said goodnight and closed her eyes, reminding herself that "it would be okay" because she did have friends and she was loved, and she wouldn't let anyone ruin that, no matter what.

A small gasp left the lips of Jungha as she felt a hand grip her shoulder firmly and pull her backwards. She regained her balance before turning around to see Joohyun standing before her, her eyes slightly puffy.
