You're as far from me as dreams tonight
Worlds away to my mind
And so I wrestle with my sleep
Struggle against Father Time
Counting breaths and pushing back

But still I lie in bed awake
And so I stumble out of bed
To escape the fact you've passed

The shadows that you've cast
Please come home to me
Before I go insane
You flood my very consciousness
And flow through every vein
My heart is screaming out to you
In silent misery
My mind will never cease to speak
Til you deliver me

Return into our bed
So that my heart and head not roam
But return peace instead
