I came here to get lost
But I found something special instead
And as I walk across the mountaintops
And the stinging morning air kisses my lungs
I have found my home
I came here to run away
But I was caught by the beauty of the world
And as I venture through the forest
And the friendly pine needles tickle my face
I have been caught by peace
I came here to escape life
But I experienced life instead
And as I walk through the living streets
As an alien among strangers of a distant land
I have seen the face of God
In the sun shining through the mountain peaks
In the gentle nettles of the pine trees
In the millions of faces that reflect his own
In my heart where home and peace and life dwell
I have found Him
