In a different frame of mind, Lara entered the training room.

     She wanted answers.

Along with all the thoughts and visions she had received, she also felt re-energised. The exhaustion had receded as her mind started to clear.

Up until now, she hadn't considered her own importance in this whole saga. After all, she was the White Swan, surely that meant something. So, it was about time she started acting like it did and began asking questions, the right questions, ones that got answers; but more importantly, answers that actually made sense.

Obviously, Ennar was the teacher and had all the knowledge. Lara just had to find a way of extrapolating what was important and deciphering it into words she could understand.

Whereas Greno, as far as she was concerned, was the real master, especially when it came to controlling the mind and body. Through age and wisdom, he had obviously learnt the importance of humility and she just knew that if she wanted to survive this trial, then he was her best bet.

Plus, she was sure it was Greno who had been sending those phantom thoughts to her. How? She intended to find out.

Ennar had contemplated ranting for a few seconds about wasting valuable time before continuing from where they had left off, until he saw the look on Lara's face.

Men and children he felt comfortable addressing, not self-confident women who wore that certain presence like a glove. For some strange reason they scared him. Although he would never let on to anyone about this ridiculous phobia.

Up until this point, he had only seen Lara as a child that he could bend and shape at his will. Yet, somehow she had returned a different person and he didn't like her new persona one, little bit.

There was no timid young girl here. Instead, her sudden maturity made him feel awkward and tongue tied and before he could say anything she surprised him by approaching his table and sitting down on the chair beside him, acting very pleased with herself.

"Ennar, let's try again, before we waste any more time. Except I have a few changes in mind. I would like to start off with learning that telepathic parlour trick you both demonstrated outside. And don't deny it Greno, I know it was you, all of it, including the dragon." Lara turned to face Greno, who was standing between the table and the nearby wall, his expression never changed, except for the twinkling of his eyes. Yes...!! She was right. Caught out, old man....

"Dragon?... Greno, what did you do?... Surely you didn't allow her to see 'Takikki'. Not so early. You were told to wait until I gave the command... You haven't changed at all. Even when you were a child, you were never good at following orders." Ennar shook his head in complete disgust. Obviously, nobody in this room was listening to him.

"Takikki? What's that?" Lara asked Greno.

"No, no!" Ennar protested. "NOOOOO....!" The last word, he sent telepathically. "If you haven't noticed, I am the teacher here. If anyone is going to explain about Takikki, it's me." Lara turned a quizzical brow in his direction as though to say, 'well start teaching.'

"I don't know why we're doing this, when you should be starting with the drill arenas, but you asked for it, so it's on your head not mine if we don't complete your training."

'At last.' Lara just knew this was going to be more beneficial than diving into the exercise playground first.

Her mind had never felt so clear.
