"Ennar! What is happening to my daughter?"
Face drained of colour, her voice trembling as she tried to stop the panic rising within her, Queen Tiana looked expectantly to the parchment head, who's constrained solemn expression spoke volumes in itself.
Seeing Larayna lying there on the ground, lifeless, was tearing her up inside.
Previously just after her daughter had collapsed, when Tiana had made a move to gather Larayna in her arms, both Ennar and Greno had quickly shouted for her to stop and leave her where she was. That it was vital Tiana did not interfere, for any movement could prevent Larayna from returning safely back into her body.
Tiana didn't understand any of this, only that it was as if her nightmare was replaying itself, as she watched on, except this time she was helpless to save both her children.

Ennar spent some valuable time accessing his giant of a brain. With his eyes closed and his lips pursed, he looked completely absorbed, while he reviewed all the ancient transcripts, that could be of any use to them in helping Larayna. But sadly he came up empty.
He knew her body could not possibly cope with what had happened previously, occuring again. Opening his eyes, looking reluctantly at Greno, Ennar admitted that they had to find another way.
Ennar turned to face the worried eyes of the Queen. Forcing himself to speak, he was finally going to respond to her long awaited question, knowing his words were not going to be what she wanted to hear and dreading her motherly wrath.
Mothers were really so annoying. He thought quickly. What with their worrying tears and disgustingly embarrassing hugs? He was thankful that he had never had to bother with such irritating pitiful emotions.
The Zanaltra Council were his maker, the only parents he had, if you could call them that . He never had to suffer from any of their unwanted attention. In fact, it had been a very long time since they had given him any attention at all. Not that he was looking for any, he hurriedly thought, but he couldn't help wondering, why not? Didn't he deserve a little consideration every now and then? After all - he had needs- just like everyone else.'
The Queen wasn't used to having her questions left unanswered and took a step closer towards him. The movement brought Ennar's thoughts back to the matter at hand.
Ah yes. Mothers!
"Your majesty, Princess Larayna is in a coma state. You see, the waking conscious mind contains thoughts, feelings, memories that we all acknowledge, while the unconscious holds the shadows of the mind or even deeper mental processes that are not always available to the conscious mind. It is a source of the hidden, which can be both disturbing and life threatening and are inaccessible to the consciousness. "
"Ennar will you stop talking in riddles. I have no idea what you're saying. Just tell me in plain words what is wrong with Larayna." Exasperated, Tiana interrupted.
"Alright!" Ennar said irritated by her lack of understanding.
I am surrounded by royal idiots. I'll give her talking in riddles. How the mighty noble has fallen when It comes to being educated. It is the waking conscious mind, for King's sake, how can she not know of it? If it's plain baby talk you want, then I, the great Ennar, will deliver. But I don't have to like it.
