"GOOD MORNING, SLEEPYHEAD!" Your uncle Dan shouted as he saw you walking down the stairs.
FuckI forgot his voice is so loud.
"Good morning." You yawned. "What's for breakfast?"
"Food." Wendy said, sarcastically.
"Ha ha. Very funny."
"Dad got pancakes from Greasy's Diner." Your cousin Marcus answered for Wendy.
Your eyes instantly lit up. You put a big stack of syrup-soaked pancakes on your plate and started to eat like them were the only pancakes left on earth.
"Woah, chill (Y/N)." Wendy chuckled. "Your eating like you haven't had pancakes for years."
You slowed down a bit. Wendy's words triggered a memory.
You were wobbling down the streets of New York. It had been a few days since you had food. You had been living off of the leftovers people threw in the trash. Needless to say, it did not feed you nearly enough.
But you had just found a twenty dollar bill on the ground.
You were filled with so much happiness when you found it. The first thing you thought of when you picked it up was pancakes. You immediately started walking to a pancake house.
And you finally spotted one right across the street.
You walked through the doors and ordered buttermilk pancakes to go.
There was now about thirteen dollars left in your pocket. Only $9,973.18 left until your debt way payed.
That was five years ago. It was the last time you actually bought something.
"Hey, you ok?" Wendy said, pulling you out of your memory.
"Y-yeah. I'm fine."
"Ok then." But she didn't looked entirely sure. After you were done eating, you and Wendy went over to the Mystery Shack again.
When you walked in, you were greeted by none other than Bill Cipher.
"Well good morning, (Y/N)." He said, smirking.
"Bill." Wendy said, trying and failing to hide the disgust in her voice.
You easily noticed the tension.
Before you could do anything...
"(Y/N)!!" Mabel came sprinting through the 'Employees Only' door. "Dipper! My best friend is back!"
Best friend?
Ok then.
"Hey." Dipper waved. You hadn't even noticed him.
Wendy walked over to him and they talked in hushed tones while Mabel chattered on about her sweater collection.
"C'mon Shooting Star, (Y/N) has barely been here for five minutes and you've already freaked them out with your overexcitement." Bill said, looking over at you.
"I wasn't that overexcited."
Dipper looked over and nodded. "Yes you were, Mabel. Chill out a bit."
"So doll." You shivered at the name. "If you don't mind, I've got a few questions for you." Bill stared intensely.
"Um...ok?"
"First, why did you come to Gravity Falls?"
"To visit my cousin."
"Is that really the only reason? Were you trying to get away from somebody?"
That hit a little too close to home.
"Wh-"
"Woah, Bill, stop being so suspicious. They're just here visiting. It's not like they're some spy collecting information."
You shot Wendy a grateful look.
"Fine." Bill said. "I'm done."
But he kept staring at you. Staring a hole through the back of your head.
What does he want from me?
How much does he already know?
