Your heartbeat quickened. Fear was oozing out of every pore in your body, but you put on a mask of calm.

"Rocco. This is just a new level of sad." You fidgeted with your gloves but continued on with your stalling. "I mean, making a little kid do your dirty work for you? How much did you pay him, ten bucks?"

"Actually it was fifteen." Toby interjected.

"Nobody cares kid." Rocco snapped. "Your job is done. Get the hell out of here."

He waited until Toby was out of sight to start talking.

"So (Y/N), I believe you owe me something." He flashed an evil smirk over at me.

Your face went pale.

Nonnononono

Oh god

No I don't-

"Well," He interrupted your thinking. "I'm waiting."

Fuck.

"Rocco, I-I don't have enough money yet." You stuttered, fidgeting with your hands.

I thought I had more time. I've been wasting time sitting in a park instead of getting the money. How could I have been so stupid!

"I'm sorry," He stepped forward looking even scarier than he was before. "I couldn't hear you. Speak louder, doll."

"I-I don't have the money yet." By now your mask of calm had yeeted right out of there.

"Don't you remember our deal, doll?" He grabbed you by the neck and you yelped in alarm as he pushed you against the wall. "Let me remind you."

He shoved you into the wall harder and you felt your shoulder dislocate from its socket. You let out a scream of pain.

"I was going to keep your little secret safe," He said into your neck through gritted teeth. "And in return you were gonna get me ten thousand dollars by June. Well guess what, it's June you little bitch. Now where the hell is my money?" With that he thew you at the dumpster and you screamed in pain as your head slammed into the hard metal.

"Honestly Rocco," You spat some blood out of your mouth. "It's a miracle you were married. I wonder how she tolerated all your shit."

"Talk about her again and I'll-"

And at that exact moment, your phone started buzzing in your pocket.

You looked at Rocco and gestured to your phone.

"Fine, you little rat." He hissed. You answered the phone.

"Heya cuz!"

"Wendy!" Your face instantly lit up.

You saw Rocco look up at you mentioning her name.

"How is your mom doing?"

"She's..." The question gave you a pang of guilt in your chest, but thankfully Wendy moved on without an answer.

"So I was wondering if you and you would like to stay with us for the summer, just like old times?"

"Um..." You glanced over at Rocco, who was still standing there and came up with an answer.

"Sure Wendy. I would love to stay with you."

"Well pack your bags because your coming all the way to Gravity Falls, Oregon!"

She then hung up on you, bringing you back to the current situation.

"Well, what did Wendy want." His voice was starting to sound impatient.

"She wants me to spend the summer with her."

You were careful and didn't mention where so he couldn't come looking for you, but you already had a feeling he already knew where she is.

"Well unless you don't get me my money-"

"Rocco, give me until the summer is over and I will get your your money."

"And how the hell are you gonna get ten thousand dollars in the middle of nowhere?" He laughed.

"I...I don't know, but I'll think of something."

Whatever deity is watching me from the heavens, please make him say yes.

"Very well, doll. You have until the summer's over."

The next morning you boarded the bus to Gravity Falls, Oregon.
