June

Jisung arrived earlier than usual the next day.

"Ah, it's the pretty boy again," Minho said, looking lazily at Jisung. Minho hardly moved, though, since the bruise on his stomach made movement practically impossible. If Minho coughed, his vision went blurry from the sharp pain shooting through his body, thanks to Kang Geun Taek.

"Hello, Minho," Jisung said before sitting down at a table.

"Your usual?" Minho said, wincing as he moved over to the counter to start making Jisung's drinks.

"Yeah- are you okay? You're looking a little pale," Jisung said, frowning at Minho.

"Don't worry about me, Jisungie. I'll be fine. It's just a little stomach ache," Minho reassured, still clutching his stomach and giving Jisung his drink. Jisung was not convinced, though.

"Ah, okay," Jisung sighed, glancing at his phone. Then, he stood up and left without a word.

Minho's heart sank. What had happened? Jisung's abrupt leaving just made Minho feel worse. Feeling weak, Minho wearily made his way to a table and sat down, closing his eyes.

Jisung was walking down the sidewalk back towards The Grind when he spotted a person slumped in a chair through the front windows of the shop. Upon a closer look, Jisung realized it was Minho. He looked almost as if he were sleeping, and Jisung almost decided to just leave him be. He glanced back down at the bag clutched in his hands and went into the shop.

Trying to be as quiet as possible, Jisung crept through the doorway. Minho's long eyelashes fluttered, then he opened his eyes. "Jisungie?" His voice was a bit hoarse.

"M-minho?" Jisung said tentatively. "I, uh, got this for you," he said, looking at his shoes and holding a small bag out to the older. "I came earlier to...to hang out with you just a little bit, but then I saw you and you didn't look okay and it turned out you had a stomach ache so I got this but now I have to go," rambled Jisung.

Jisung looked back up and Minho and saw him smiling back at Jisung. "My little Jisungie does care about me~"

Minho stood up shakily and shooed Jisung away. "Get out of here, Jisung. We can't let our number one student be late to school and fail, do we?"

Minho watched as Jisung flushed, nodded, and quickly walked out onto the street and out of sight. He smiled to himself and checked what was inside the bag.

Jisung had bought Minho some pain medicine and chocolate. Minho laughed to himself and sat back down, too giddy to do anything else.

"You seem happier than usual today," Felix said to Jisung as they were walking out of the university. "You gonna study with Jeonginie today? Finals start tomorrow."

Jisung nodded, his mind wandering off to other people who he would prefer to not be thinking about.

"Alrighy then, mate. I'll see you after," Felix said before saluting and walking towards where their shared dorm was.

"Jisungie hyung! I'm going to run to the restroom quickly, but Channie hyung should be here soon to pick us up," Jeongin called, flashing a smile to his elder. "Just wait for me at the front and I'll be there soon!"

Jisung nodded and sat down on a bench at the front of his school, pulling the beanie on his head over his forehead. He took out his phone and saw a recent news report about a local murder, and Jisung shivered. The killing had taken place so close to him and his friends that it worried him.

"Hey, you're pretty cute," said a voice. Jisung looked up from his phone and saw a pretty girl leaning over him. "We should hang out. Are you free now?"
