Minho got up and left the room while Jisung continued to work through his homework and studying. He sat back, taking a quick break. Jisung looked around the cozy little apartment, and it hit him that he didn't realize all of the nice furniture Minho had. Expensive tables, couches, and appliances were everywhere, with pricey art pieces adorning the walls.
Then, the sound of Minho trotting back to the living room interrupted Jisung's thoughts. He turned to the older, half-grinning as the older lazily slunk in, throwing himself on the couch.
"So, how's work going? Any progress on the case?" Minho tried to sound as excited and interested as possible. He didn't want his worry to show in his voice, so Minho plastered a wide smile on his face.
He soon forgot about his worries, though, because Jisung animatedly jumped into an explanation of all of the things he has been doing. Overally, they didn't find anything else, but Jisung suspects that there's more to be uncovered.
Oh, there sure is, Minho thought sadly.

A few days later, Minho saw a blonde figure jogging up to The Grind. Minho's lips quirked up into a smirk as Jisung stepped through the door.
"Hey, fancy seeing you here," Minho said slyly, eyeing Jisung. He rolled his eyes, then carded his hands through his honey colored hair. Minho's eyes followed the movement ever so slowly.
Minho started making Jisung's usual, adding a few extras for the other kids. While he was busy making them, Jisung started talking excitedly.
"Ah, hyung, you'll never guess what happened at work! I continued to look into the crimes, and I was able to find the kind of gun some of the crimes has been committed with! It looks pretty consistent, so I think the next thing to do is see if we can find any fingerprints or DNA on the bullets or around the crime scene..." Jisung trailed off, realizing that he was thinking out loud.
"Actually, I don't know why I'm telling you all of this," Jisung smiled sweetly at Minho. "But I can trust you, right? Technically, this case is open, so I'm not really allowed to disclose what's going on. But I know that you wouldn't tell anyone."
Minho smiled and nodded, then he grabbed a cup tray and placed all of the extra drinks for the maknaes in a bag, leaving out Jisung's. He brought the bag to Jisung and handed him his usual drink.
Jisung nodded back thoughtfully, though his mind was still thinking about the case. He nibbled on the straw, his cheeks puffing out slightly.
Minho was happy for Jisung, he truly was. It was just hard for him to face the truth, of their impending doom. Minho was tired.
Blinking away the thoughts, Minho decided to ignore it. He might as well enjoy the time he had left before things fell apart. He smiled again, looking at Jisung cutely biting his straw, lost in thought.
"I love your company, Jisung, but don't you have to get to class? I wouldn't want you to be late," Minho teased, sticking out his tongue.
Jisung shook his head slightly, as if he were clearing away his thoughts. He noticed Minho watching him expectantly. Jisung scrambled up and checked his phone. "Holy shit, I really gotta go. Thanks for the drinks, hyung!" Jisung hollered as he bolted out.
Minho waved, though Jisung didn't look back. He sighed, cleaning up the counters and waiting for another customer that was most likely not going to come.
