During the summer teenagers do wild things, like all people do. That's what made summer better though, being with friends and being able to enjoy yourself to the fullest while you had no stress of school or other hardships in life. Being with Hyunjin you forgot about all the problems that constantly invaded your brain while you were home. That was until he dissappeared.  That fateful warm summer night your best friend who you loved was gone from your life.

You sat on your bed holding your phone, staring at the picture you took together that night 2 years ago. You hoped he was okay, wherever he disappeared to. Memories flooded back into your mind as a lone tear slipped down your cheek.

"Hyunjin if you speed up one more time I'm gonna push you off your skateboard hoe." You yelled at him moving your feet to catch up with Hyunjin who was skating circles around you in an empty parking lot. You went skateboarding with Hyunjin a lot, it's why you often did when you could sneak away for a night with him.

"You're just too slow. Don't be a crybaby." Hyunjin teased you holding out his arms with a shrug.

"That's real cheap coming from you saying that you cry over dog videos on YouTube." You snort finally catching up to him, skating down the parking lot at a slow pace.

"You know dogs are my weakness, don't use that against me!" Hyunjin was loud, voice echoing out into the area around you.

"Yeah yeah, I'll leave you alone crybaby." You taunted him back which Hyunjin only retaliated back with him leaving you in his dust.

"Ah shit, here we go again." You laughed qouting the popular meme loud enough for Hyunjin to hear.

"You're so not funny." Hyunjin waved bye to you starting to leave you behind in the parking lot.

"No don't leave please!" You raced to meet him with a giggle knowing he wouldn't dare actually leave you alone in the dark.

"Come on I told you you're the baby." Hyunjin shouted after he got off his skateboard waiting for you at the entrance of the parking lot. When you met him he slung his arm around your shoulder, other holding his skateboard.

"We should be heading back before our parents call the cops on us for going missing together."You shook your head with a laugh at the thought of your parents searching for you two.

"I already have enough problems at home." His voice came out barely above a whisper. You heard him but you didn't think much of it, sometimes things aren't always well.

"We're going to be seniors you know." Hyunjin chirps bringing back his bright mood reminding you of the stressful school year to come.

"The summer has just started let's not talk about school." You didn't want to hear a single word about school.

"We can go to the senior ball together, study, and watch movies together on the weekends." Hyunjin tried to tempt you with his school talk as you walked slowly down the sidewalk, head laying on his shoulder.

"Seems like you have our school year all planned out." You grinned thinking about your last school year together feeling a bit nostalgic. This night was like any other, not out of the ordinary but you felt a bit closer to Hyunjin than usual.

"Don't you ever stop and think about how we'll be in the future? We may not even be friends." You were mindlessly talking, but Hyunjin quickly objected your question.
