Changbin was minding his own business, blasting music through his speakers with his eyes closed. The only thing on his mind was you and his thoughts were interrupted when the door in front of him flung open.

Changbin's eyes flew open and in front of him was a sweaty Jisung who looked rather irritated. "How long are you going to mope around this house? You're already depressing on your own but...this is bad. And your music is too loud-" Jisung began to go on his tirade but Changbin cut him off with a groan of annoyance.

"I don't know, until I stop?"

"You need to get yourself together, either go and apologize to y/n or at least make some music." Jisung offered but Changbin only frowned.

Changbin's whole issue was well again, you. Due to past relationships he let his pride get in the way of letting him tell you how much he actually cares for you. You two had gotten into an argument and instead of either of you apologizing, Changbin opted to ignore you in an attempt to suppress his feelings. His methods weren't working very well.

Changbin turned down his music keeping his eyes trained on the ceiling. "But I have no inspiration to do anything"

"Because y/n was your inspiration." Jisung pointed out.

"Not true at all." Changbin scoffed but he knew it was true. All of the love songs he wrote were about you.

"Changbin, just apologize and stop being an asshole."

Changbin scoffed again at Jisung's insult, "I'm not an asshole! I don't have to hear this from you." He wasn't in the mood for his younger friend getting on his case about his and y/n's situation too. Chan had already yelled at him enough.

"And where are you gonna go? To Chan's room so he can tell you the same thing?" Jisung snickered.

Changbin buried his face into his pillows mumbling to himself, "I feel like shit."

"Stop being so full of yourself and let your guard down," Jisung scolded Changbin. "You're too prideful and it's stopping you from being happy." His time was sharp and Changbin wasn't used to hearing Jisung speak like that to him. He only spoke harshly when he was being serious.

"She won't apologize either. I don't have to stoop down to a lower level and be kind after what happened." Even as Changbin spoke he was having a hard time believing his own words. His guilt was practically eating him alive for ignoring you for weeks. The only thing stopping him was his pride and not wanting to admit he did care for you.

Jisung's frown deepened. He wanted to knock some sense into both of you. "I think you both have the same issue." Changbin rolled his eyes at Jisung but he knew it was true he just never wanted to admit that he was wrong. He didn't want to admit that just maybe, he was actually being an egotistical asshole.

Jisung began to gather up his things from around Changbin's room, sighing. "I'm gonna leave you alone to think about this but if I come back here and you're still the same I will personally remove you from this bed."

"Try it you stick." Jisung continued out of the room ignoring Changbin's insult and leaving him to his thoughts.

The bright phone in his hand showed a picture of you two together and your caller ID. Every time he let a brick fall from the tall wall he had built his pride replaced it with another, keeping him away from you. "Just call her Changbin...let go of your pride."

Even the miles that kept you two apart didn't interrupt the shared connection you had. "...let go of your pride." The same words that Changbin spoke tumbled numbly from your lips. You missed him so much. You both wanted each other back. Both of your fingers hovered over the call button on your phones before your hands fell again. Love is strong but the power of your ego and pride can always get in the way.
