From the entrance came the enticing aroma of pizza, fried fish and other smells that I could not comprehend there source.
Thank God I had arrived on time just before the party began.
"Hello everyone may I have your attention," Lucas said.
*People who had scattered all over now started gathering up at the centre of the hall.
He continued ,"I would like to thank you all for making it today to this party, I once again welcome you all. There is plenty of cooked food, many drinks and snacks for you all to enjoy and feel at home.
I request everybody to pair up for a dance."
Immediately a dance song was played.
Those who came with their partners were left on the dance floor while the rest went to sit down.
As I was sitting, my eyes searched everywhere for Emma but I could not trace her.
"May I have this dance ? I heard a voice.
Looking up I saw a guy who had stubble beards, brown eyes and with a golden blond hair, stretching his hand towards me.
"Yeah sure!" I said placing my hand on his.
I thank God that even though I didn't know how to swim at least I knew how to dance.
At the dance floor , we danced so smoothly I could tell that he was perfect at dancing with the way he moved so gently with the beats of the song.
"I am Stanley, what about you??"he asked.
I am.....
Before I could even say my name, I suddenly stumbled onto someone...
"Ooh my God, I am so sorry. I said with a shaky voice.
"Its nothing...Hey Rita, here you are."
"Hey Emma,I finally found you."
I thank the Almighty it was Emma or else I would be into big trouble .
Emma was dancing with some guy,
I really think I have seen this guy somewhere around school....but I can't remember where.
"Hey cousin, I see you found yourself a girl." She said flattering.
What the f**k ... I really didn't know that Stanley was Emma's cousin.
"Yeah! and a very beautiful one."he replied smiling.
We both smiled back.
All this time we were dancing while still conversing.
"Yeah! without a doubt," Emma replied.
I was so stranded I didn't know what to say.
"Thanks."
I said not really knowing who I was addressing whether it was Stanley or Emma.
"Welcome!"
They both replied in unison.
We were so deep into the conversation we didn't even realize that the music stopped playing.
"Now its time to introduce our guest for tonight."
We heard Lucas voice.
We hurried to our seats since we were the only ones still left on the dance floor.
