I turn to look at Cyrus he is just staring at me with dazed and unfocused eyes, quite like a five year old staring at his favorite candy shop. My cheeks do the wretched thing with the blush again and I look away quickly.
"Hey Cyrus, is there anything you want to do?" I asked him.
"Yes" His eyes drift down from my eyes to the lower region of my face and come to a stop at my lips. I stare down into my cup of hot coco and my cheeks become even redder.
"I.... I saw a trail not far from here, maybe we could go up and catch the sunrise. There is a little cliff with a viewpoint up there. I nod, a little nervous about being alone for the day with Luhan. But mostly excited.
Cyrus's POV.
So we decided to walk up a little trail that led up to a looking point of the valley. As we were hiking up we traded turns asking questions about each other.
"Favorite colour?" I ask.
"Green. All the greens you can see in forests. You?"
"The colour of the sky. Favorite... Ice cream flavour?"
"Mmmm.... I can't decide, but I like a mix of chocolate and strawberry also coffee ice cream. What are yours?"
"I like a mix of vanilla and strawberry with a bit of oreo biscuits in it.
We continued like this all the way to the end of the trail. We walked straight to the edge of the look out and set up the picnic and blanket that we packed. The sun was a brilliant red that flashed across Rita's skin and made her so beautiful. We ate in silence and crunched on some apples while watching the sunrise.
"Hey Rita?"
" Yeah?"
"Do you think.... Maybe.... After this trip, would you maybe want 4tho hangout sometime? Together? I mean, just the two of us."
"Are... You asking me on a ... date?"
" It depends..."
"What happens if I say yes?"
"Then it's a date, I guess?"
Rita is silent for a time. A slow smile stretches across her face, until it is a full blown grin of happiness.
"Yeah."
"Yeah?"
"Yeah."
I can feel a smile matching Rita's stretching across my face. Now we are just both grinning at each other for a long time. All over a sudden; it was so windy, the trees were shaking and many leaves were falling to the ground.
I can feel Rita coming closer to me until we are pressed up next to each other in the corner of the viewpoint. I can feel Rita's head turn towards mine. Her eyes flick back and forth between my mouth and my eyes. I turn my body towards hers and we both lean in towards each other. Her chin tilts up and my eyes close. Our lips meet and I forget everything else.
Rita's POV.
Cyrus's face is so close to mine that I have to believe it is indeed happening. My eyes close on their own accord and my face is tilted towards his. I can feel his fingertips lightly, so lightly I can barely feel him touch my neck and before I can even think any sensible thoughts his lips are brushing mine. It is a delicate kiss, one gentle and a kiss asking permission.
Cyrus pulls back, just a tiny bit, our foreheads touching. He looks at me, his eyes full of question and they are saying is this okay? and I feel that grin coming back onto my face, but this one is a little more shy and a little hesitant. He starts to smile too, a smile that lights up his entire face. All the question in his eyes is gone and his smile sobers up a little before he kisses me again.
His lips taste like apples and we kiss until I start to smile too much, too happy to even kiss. Ooh my God! What is happening to me. I suddenly pull away from his grip. We should probably head back. They maybe looking for us.
" Yeah sure, you're right?"
It was already 12:30 we hurried back quickly.
At the hotel we found everyone was fully prepared to leave. Luckily Sharon had already packed my belongings and so were Cyrus's belongings which had been packed by Max. We quickly left the hotel.
The next day we were back in our college. Everyone was asking how the trip was and we said it was fantastic and that all of us enjoyed.
