Chapter 18: HeartBreak and Sacrifice

(Chris' POV)

As we continued down the hall no one dared to say anything.....because no one knew what to say.

Especially me.
I should've gotten there quicker, I should've been focused but instead I was to busy over exaggerating how we found the way out we took to long.

And it cost me my little sisters life.
God this is gonna be the worst after I get out of this cave. I don't know what we're gonna be able to do after we leave.

As we followed Christina down the Tunnels I couldn't help but think more.

Is the figure dead, are we safe to leave this place?
God there's so much running through my head.

And I don't know what to do.

As we neared our way towards the end of the tunnel our friends got hopelessly lost down we turned down the middle cave heading towards the waste room.

As we walked down Christina stopped dead in her tracks holding out her arms for everyone to stop.

"What the fuck are yo-" Ashlee said before she was cut off.

"Shhhhhh" Christina said trying to listen for something.

" What are you listening fo-" Des said before she got cut off as well.

"SHHHHHHH!!!!" Christina forced out as she stood still listening.

Then we heard it.

The creatures......
And tons of them too.

(Sam's POV)

"Great just when one problem finally goes away another pops up" Ashlee points out as she paces around the tunnel thinking.

I mean we could always lure them away before making a run for it. I thought to myself.

"We're running out of time down here, who knows when that guy will wake up and come looking for us down here" Christina said.

As I look around I noticed everyone contributing different plans with one another except for one person.

Destiny....

"Hey...." I said walking over to her.

" You look like you've got some stuff on your mind" I said poking her cheek causing the end of her lips to tug up in a small smile.

" I was just thinking about what we could do....." She said before looking away.

" Don't worry we'll figure it out we always do" I said before she looked at me.

" Yeah and I haven't done anything" She said looking straight into my eyes.

" What do you mean you've been a great help to us" I said trying to comfort her before she brushes me off.

" I may have helped but I've had to be saved more than a few times...... and I feel like I haven't done enough...." she said before taking in a deep breath.

" So then what are you trying to say?" I said stepping closer to her.
" I'm going to Lure the monsters away Beforehand so you guys can escape" She said Dropping the bomb.

" And what about you" I asked worried.

" Don't Worry about me I've been saved way to many times.......It's time I saved you idiots" She smiles at me before walking aver to the group.

As she explained to the group what she was putting on the table everyone said no at first. But Destiny wouldn't have it any other way.
Causing Chris to feel some type of way I can see it.
