Even You Dee...

Chloe's pov

" I know Lucas well, that man is a physcho. I don't trust him with my sister. He could kill her or keep her in that basement where he kept me. Only God knows what else he could do to harm her."

I'm pacing furiously in Liam's office I'm in his house and fidgeting with my fingers. He isn't even paying attention to what I'm saying. In fact, he's busy on his laptop and he hasn't even looked at me once or even talked to me since I came here.

" I told you. Oliver won't let her get hurt. Besides Zoe can take care of herself."

Geez!

"The same Oliver watched me get beat en by the same Lucas. He watched me get choked almost to death. In fact, he locked me in a basement. And here you are telling me to trust him with Zoe? I'm sorry but I can't. I just can't."

His head flipped to my direction, and by the time I was done rumbling, I could feel his eyes starring at me as if I just said something out of this world. His fist folded tightly and his face flashed red. He was clearly angry.
But what have I done wrong?

I watched him drag his chair as he stood up and matched to me. I know I shouldn't have felt how I was feeling but then I did. The more he approached me the more goosebumps I got. My heart felt on fire and I needed to cool off.

"What did you just say?"
Oh no, is he going to hurt me just like Lucas always did?

"I... I.. Don't think Oliver can look after Zoe?"

His eyes narrowed at me, or rather at my neck. He raised his hands at me and I couldn't help but flinch closing my eyes. He was going to hit me... Just like Lucas did... Or was he going to choke me? Oh sweet Lord, save me from this monster. The slap or punch intended never came. In fact I felt the hair on my neck being pushed to one end of my side. His fingers grazed my neck and I felt my body tense. The marks that Lucas had left!!I hope they werent that visible. I had covered it up with makeup early today and I hope they aren't still visible.

"Is he the one who did this to you?"
I opened my eyes and was met with the same intensified Grey eyes. He looked angry and I didn't miss the fist on his other hand. I gulped nervously and shook my head. As soon as I did that, he walked back to his office seat and continued with his work. This guy's moodswings are way much worse than that of Lucas.

"What do you think is going to happen to Zoe?" I walked to the near sofa and sat facing him. For some reason, I know he was also scared for her.

"As much as Lucas is insane, he isn't going to do something insane."
"How can you even be sure?"

"Because I know him. In this line of business he can't afford to kill either you or her at least until he gets what he wants and I'm quite sure he hasn't gotten it and that's why he took Zoe."

"But why did he let me go?"

He finally looks up from his paperwork and looks at me.

"He didn't let you go. I know for sure he wanted to take both you and Zoe to frustrate your parents into giving in to his demands. But he couldn't take you because I was there with you."

Was I supposed to be happy hearing him say that?

He goes back to his work and I slump myself further on the sofa.

The Reens!!

" Uhmm Liam... Who are the Reens?"

His eyes shoot wide open and he quickly stands up making me do the same.

" How do you know about the Reens?"

He walks to me until he's standing in front of me.

"Well, the sole purpose of me coming to the party was to find out from you when the Reens are going to attack next."

"Lucas asked you to do that?"
I nod making  him curse under his breath before he turns and walks to his laptop and looks at it keenly.

"Did he say anything else?"

"No, he only wanted to know when they are going to attack next."

He picks his phone and I hear him talk with someone. Who are the Reens that they even have the ability to scare him like this?

The door opens and to my surprise Dee walks right in.

"Dee, what are you doing here?"
She walks towards me scratching her elbow nervously.

" I live  here duh!"
"What??"

"I live here. That jerk over there is my elder brother."

He points to Liam who looks at us shocked.

"You too know each other?"

"This girl here is my bestfriend Lee."

"And why didnt you tell me?"

She rolls her eyes dramatically before going to sit on his desk. She cups his cheeks and he looks at her not really amused.

"I don't have to tell you everything about myself right?"
He removes her hands and looks at me with a smirk on his face now.

"Then this is going to be easier than I thought."

Dee who was looking at the papers on his brother's desk now turns to look between me and Liam.

"What is happening here?"

"Well Dee, Lucas sent Chloe here to ask me when the Reens are going to attack. Don't you find it funny?"

She hops down the desk and walks to me. "Of course this is funny Lee. The Reens have gone for quite sometime now. In fact, they are no longer a gang group after you dissolved it. But why is Lucas concerned about it all of a sudden?"

"That's the point. Marie, his wife was their leader, meaning they are still connected. I'm sure  Lucas is just trying to scare us."

Dee looks at me intently before looking at her brother. "This can only mean one thing. The most once powerful gang is coming to life."

Liam bangs his hands on his desk making me flinch. Dee remains emotionless and I bet she's used to these.

"I'm in control of the most powerful gang Dee. The Reens aren't a threat to me. If I was able to fight them once and destroyed them. I can also do that again." I can see his face glowing in anger and he smiles evily.

Dee grabs my hand and we walk out of Liam's office. She takes me to her room and I take a shower before fitting into one of her Pj's. As soon as I get out of the shower I walk to the kitchen with the intention of getting myself something to eat. Dee is already there and she hands me a burger with a milkshake.

Since we left her brother's office, she hadn't spoken a word.

She sits beside me and looks at me.

"Your training is going to begin tomorrow."
