Chloe's POV

Eight months later

"No Liam, I'm dead serious, it's either I come with you or you are going nowhere. I thought we had talked about this. "I say, more like shout.

"I know. But that was before I learnt that its going to be at the  La Violetta. You know its never safe there. "He says as he tries to tie his tie.

"But I want to go. I already signed myself up for this. I know what I'm getting myself into. "I point out.

"But I don't  want you to be there. Remember the last time we we're at a party, I didn't get to watch you closely and I don't want a repeat of what happened that day. "

"What?  there will be no repeat of what happened. I understand ok. Besides, Dee is also going so I won't  be left out. And this time, I know about the business. We can just go together and infact, I can help you close some business deals you know. "

"You don't get it. Remember when I left you for two minutes, you ended up running to Noah's arms. "He deadpans.

"What? Is that what all these is about? What happened that day with Noah? Come on, Noah is in rehab, he isn't even going to be there. "Yeah, apparently it turned out that Noah was psychic and after he witnessed Lucas being killed, he just lost it. I don't know what Liam is scared of. I mean all the other gangs are in awe of him. The Reens are no longer a threat considering the fact that my dad had his men finish all of them  six months ago.

"Damn it woman. You just don't get it do you. There are going to be other men there like Morgan and I don't want anyone looking at what's mine. "

I couldn't help but smile  at that. . So that's why he is acting like a caveman.

I walk to him and take his tie and begin to slowly make it. He groans loudly and takes a seat at the edge of the  bed.

I finish making it and straddle him as I help him put it on.

"So that's why you are so defensive and all jealous? Because Morgan is going to be there? He's your uncle. "I chuckle.

"Who likes you. "

"Nay , I don't think so. He only says what he says before you so as to fuel your anger and every time his tactics work. "I laugh this time.

"Its not  funny you know. How will you feel if a girl throws compliments at me and  I flirt with her? "

"Well, I don't flirt with Morgan if that's what you are insinuating. Come to think of it. Jealousy looks good on you. "Before he thinks of a comeback, I put my lips on him.

I can't help but moan when I fell his tongue on my bottom lip which makes him to deepen the kiss. I grab a handful  of his hair and I know he will have to redo his hair once again but who cares about that right now.

I pull away before anything more can happen and when I open my eyes I see his grey ones looking at me with desire.

"So I'm going to come with you right? "

"Yeah sure. "

Wait for it, wait for it...

Four, three.. Tw...

"No, I meant no. Today you are not going to have your way with me. Not today Chloe. "

He tries to stand up but I cling to him.

"Please, I just want to see Jade and Jack. We have to talk and see how their business is faring on. Besides, you know after the meeting they will be traveling to Kenya for their vacation. I'm not going to see them for the next three months. Please Liam. "

"Aargh... Fine. But promise me, if you arent with me, you will be with either Dee or your cousins? "

"Well... "I pretend to think

"I'm not playing Chloe. "

"Fine. "

"Good, now get ready because I'm already late. "

I squeal as I make my way towards the walk in closet. Of course I knew he was going to accept and so I had already prepared a gown for this occasion. I mean, its going to  be like  all the  other parties I have attended. This is a charity event, like the  one that was first held when we first met.I pull out a velvet dress and his favorite mask, I'm shocked that he hasn't taken it with him today.
I finish dressing up quickly and he drives us to the  event.

Today's program is just the same. The one who bids, closest to Liam gets the  famous dance with him, and definitely I ain't going to allow another woman dance with my man with me being here. We walk to our designated chairs and Liam immediately pulls out the bronze card and the bidding starts. I make sure to bid close to him in every round. At first he's shook as he didn't see this coming but as the  rounds continue he gets used to it. This goes on and on until every item is sold.

And here's to the part that I have been waiting for all night. The dance. We walk to the dance floor and he takes me in his arms.

"Do you remember the first time, we met  here? "

"How can I forget, it was the  first time I set my eyes on you with the sole purpose of killing you. "

"Its funny how it took your kidnap for us to finally meet, fall in love and be together. I'll forever be glad for Lucas making this sweet mistake.

Do you remember what I told you the day I knew you had feelings for me? "

How could I forget, it was the most hurtful words he'd ever say to me.

"Well I was wrong. I love you. I have had feelings for you since the first day we met. You are special to me. I want to make you mine. Make you everything I have ever wanted in my woman . I'm sorry for the things I've done before. It just didn't occur to me that I  could live like this. I'm sorry if  I have hijacked your life by making you the boss' right hand lady but I want  you to occupy every part of my life. I know I'm selfish and all that but I want you and no one else. "

I realize everyone is quiet and they are starring at me with bewilderment.

By the time I'm starring next at Liam, his already on his knee.

"I know this is too much and too early for me to ask you. But Chloe Waters, will you marry me? "

"I.. Uh.. "

I see a flush of pain in his face and it hurts me to  think that he could think I'm   going to  reject him, well, I'm going to shock him since it looks like he doesn't know me that well.

"Well Liam, I wouldn't want any one in my life to replace you. "

"Not even Morgan? "

I chuckle. "Not even Morgan. "

Morgan snorts but I'm sure he's happy for his nephew. I mean who wouldn't considering the fact that the badass gang leader fell for me... Chloe Waters.

He pulls out a ring from his pocket and I notice it is the  very same ring that he bought during the  auction at our very first encounter. The ring I had admired from the very first time I set my eyes on it.

He gently puts it on my finger and I feel the  tingles as our fingers brush.

Its more than a year since we met and I still feel the jitters like the very first time.

He stands and we get lost in each other as he takes my lips in his. Tears of joy trickle down my cheeks As he  takes my bottom lip and sucks on it.

"Alright alright, its time for the celebration. Let the  party begin. "Morgan cuts us.

"I guess the  twenty minutes that you signed yourself for hasn't expired."I see him smirk and this swells my hearts. I get lost in his arms as we dance to Perfect by Ed.

My life is perfect thanks to this man in  front of  me and I couldn't be more thankful to God.
