Chloe's pov

I find Ray eating on the couch while watching an AFCON game. I guess it's Kenya and Senegal today or something like that. I'm not really a football fun so I don't bother confirming.
I sit next to him and he puts one of his free hand around my shoulders.
"You still up?"
I huff out a breath, "I couldn't sleep until I was sure you have a way to get us out of here."
He turns his gaze to the Screen before him. "Don't worry.. I already know of a way out. Since you don't have a phone. Just meet me out here at exactly one. I know everyone is usually asleep by then."

"Thanks a lot Ray."

"Hey Chloe... Katherine just showed up with Damon... You are missing a lot. .. Why are you taking long to get that popcorn.."

I grab the popcorn Ray had and rush upstairs since I don't have time to make some. He doesn't even notice since he's on his seats edge. Boys and Footba!!

I plop myself on the bed catching up with her. I have watched the series over and over and so has she. I don't know what makes her coming back for more.

We watch for the next few hours until Dee falls asleep. I tuck her in bed like the good friend I am before rushing to her walk in closet and putting on my tracks. It isn't hard to find Ray since he had been watching his game downstairs the whole time.

"You are looking hot in those." I lightly punch his shoulders as he shamelessly checks me out. I practically roll my eyes. Boys!!

"So.. Can we leave already?"

"Sure. I already arranged for a car. I talked with the guards and settled something with them.Liam already went to bed and I guess so has Dee. So let's just go." He grabs his car keys and puts his hand on my lower back as he leads me to the racing pitch. We don't talk a lot since we actually have nothing to talk about. I mean we are not some long lost friends who finally met and they need catching up. Or spouses that we need to tell each other how our day was.

It's funny how from Liam's place to the pitch isn't far. As soon as we arrive, I rush to the registration camp signing my name up as I grab my favorite Helmet and bike. I put on my kneecaps and rush to the starting line. I had Ray bet some amount of money which I was sure to repay him as soon as I won this race. A middle aged girl who is nearly half clothed in this cold flags us to get ready and we all take our positions.

We roar our engines my gaze fixed on the road waiting for the gunshot that is supposed to act us our whistle. As soon as the sound rings in my ears I shoot racing down the slope. I'm glad it didn't rain yesternight because this place would be all muddy. I accelerate when I feel the sound of a bike behind me. I jump on the first pole as I start accelerating up a hill. It's funny how I'm still in shape despite the fact that I have been off tracks for several days. The cold wind hits my face as I keep adding my speed. I take the sharp U turn as I jump over the next pole. My bike slides swiftly as I continue racing.

The bike that had been on my trail tries doing the same but ends up in the pool nearby. I Multi jump through two poles as I try to accelerate more. The finish line is just within eyes range and I'm happy that I'm leading. I step on the gas holding tightly to my bike as I do the final jump twirling in air closing the distance between where I was and the finish line making it in first position.

The girl is already at the finish line with thrice the amount of money I had bet on. I immediately hand Ray his money but he's still overwhelmed with the match.

"Can I take you home now?" I spot Jade and Jack on the other side of the tracks. Just the right people I was looking for.

"Can you just hold on a little bit more? Let me talk to someone."

"But..." He tries to protest but I reassure him "I won't take long." With his slight nod I walk to the two.

"Hey Jade... Jack?"

"Hey CW. How have you been. I mean it's not like you have been missing for the past few days and we are worried." That's Jade's other way of telling me she's worried.

"Come on. I'm fine now."

"But really, where have you been? "

"That's precisely why I'm here. I need your help. I was abducted by one crazy gangleader, Lucas then at a party he took Zoe and I ended up with another gang leader, Liam. I sneaked out tonight because I need some cash and I needed to contact you people. I need your help to get back Zoe. "

" But you two don't get along. "

"I know that Jack. But we still blood. And we stick thicker than..." I wait for him to finish our slogan.

"Water, I know.But..."

"Are you going to help me or not."

Jade quickly strides over to my side. "I'm in. You know risky situations are my thing."

We look at Jack putting on our best puppy faces and he groans audibly rolling his eyes.

"I can't believe I'm doing this but, I'm in."
I smile at him as he pushes his ear piece closer to his ears.

"What? How! But... Fine. Just take all the cash and take it to my place. We'll find you there."
He turns looking at us scared and I know something is off.

"We need to get out of here. The cops are on their way. We have to split so that we can lose them. Let's just get to my place. We have to hurry before..."
Before he even finishes... We hear sirens and I go into a state of panic. I can't be caught. Dad wants to contest for governorship and this can only ruin his reputation. I can't afford to ruin this for him. So I take off, running to a different direction away from Jade and Jack, just praying for one thing

Not getting caught
