Chloe's pov

"Nothing to worry yourself with Liam. Ray here and I were just talking right?"

I give him the don't you dare talk and luckily he understands.
Liam quickly glances at my arm before walking to the fridge and grabbing a drink. He takes one long gulp just looking at Ray who seems intimidated by him. I mean who wouldn't.

The silence becomes too intense and I'm glad when Dee chooses that time to walk in.

"Hey people." She hops on the counter trying to catch her breath. Seems she had been out keeping herself fit. She looks between all of us when noone answers her greeting and shrugs carelessly.

"So, when can I resume school?or at least go to my parents?"

Everyone turns to look at me as if I just said I'm a werewolf. Well, it's not like I would mind being one...

"Not anytime soon." You can guess where that came from.

"Why not Lee? She has to go back to school soon. Exams are around the corner and we wouldn't like to miss it."

Thanks Dee!

"Well I don't care about your stupid exams." He places his drink roughly on the counter before looking at me. "I don't care about anything right now that concerns you. You are not my liability."

Ouch! I know... It stings hearing such from a person who wants to keep you in his house for no apparent reason.

"Enough of all these. You are so bipolar I wonder how we are even related."
I know Dee practically rolled her eyes at that.
I walk towards him not caring about his intimidating height or his eyes until I'm at least eyeball to eyeball with him.

"Well Mr man, I'd be gladly out of your face as from today. No, more me. You won't even realize Chloe Waters was here in the first place.

" You don't have to do that Chloe.. He isn't worth it. "Dee walks to her brother pushing him quite roughly." We need to talk Lee. But right now I just can't stand you. So, I'm just going to go shopping with Chloe here then we'll have our little chitchat later. "
She narrows her eyes at him and tugs me along with her.

Its funny how a girl like Dee can zip up his mouth.

" That was low coming from you man. "I hear Ray mumble when we're up the staircase.

" Just shut up OK? "I hear Liam storm off behind us but I'm too pissed off to care where he's off too.

A couple of dresses and sweatpants and tracks later we are off the all and back at Dee's. I haven't forgotten about my racing tonight so I need a pair of tracks since mine aren't available at the moment. I wonder how Ray is going to sneak me out at exactly two a.m. I really need the guys there to help me track Zoe and bring her home. And for that, I need money something I currently don't have but I'm sure going to win there. I mean.. I've never lost a race before.

"... So I think a sleepover will do. Chloe are you even listening to me?"

This is like the ahundredhth time I've zoned out on her.

"I am." don't ask.. don't ask..

"What was the last thing I said." Oh no you just had to ask.

"Uh hmm.. I think a sleepover will do?"
She smacks me at the back of my head making me almost falling off the counter. Yes, Dee being the responsible her is making is diner.

"I knew you were listening..." That was a close one. She goes on ranting as she continues preparing lasagna but I can't help zone out again. Why are my parents not even concerned about our welfare. I mean by now, since they are people of resources they could have already found us. I mean it's not like I'm complaining because I'm with my best friend and with that jerk excuse of her brother but I little concern I hoped they could show me.

"Our food is ready!" Dee almost jumps excitedly like a four year old toothless kid. She sets herself beside me and we eat at the counter. I mean it's not like something new. We've done this a couple of times back at my place.

We devour our food like two starved people that we are. The food is scrumptious and I would bet for anything that Dee is the best cook. No wonder she takes cooking classes. I won't be surprised if she wants to be a chef someday. I mean it's not like I mind.

We finish our food and dump the dishes there.
"Mia will take care of that." She says as she walks up the stairs making me do the same.

It's almost ten o'clock and I need like three hours before we..

"So back to that sleepover of ours."

"What sleepover?" I asked confused.

Dee stops walking right in front of me making me hit her back since she's a staircase ahead of me.

"The one I was talking to you over diner."

You mean the time I was zoned out?? I didn't hear a thing. But dare me say that in front of my infuriated friend here.

"Ooh.. That sleepover" I gently pat her back and she calms down.

"Sure.. Let's get it started." She rushes to her room plopping herself on the bed. She takes out her laptop and pats for me the space between me. She turns on Netflix and I'm not surprised when I see we are watching her favorite series The vampire diaries.

I mean she always falls asleep just thirty minutes into the movie and I have to tuck her in like the good 'mom' that I am.

I mean this could only be in my favor tonight. An idea creeps in my mind and I turn to her. "I'll just get the popcorn."

Without her uttering a word I rush to the kitchen hoping by now Ray is back.
