Chapter 45

Beginning

April 12

I get out of my car and head towards the venue for the premier of "After". I make my way inside as people shout my name from all around me. A cheeky smile appears on my face, seeing the swarm of people who have turned up here at Los Angeles for the premier. 90% of them are girls. I shake my hand with one of the girls and I watch her then take that hand towards her lips, kissing it. I do the same with others as well and I watch them from the corner of my eyes, some start yelling and some start crying. There is a group of girls, who have a big paper, with my name written on it. There are many who have my pictures in a bigger size, so that it stands out in the crowd. Some are here, with the books for signing, while others hold our official poster for the movie.

I take out my phone from the back of trousers and move away from the crowd towards the inside of the hall. "Hey baby where are you?" I ask the moment she takes up. "Right here" she says and I feel someone hold my hand from behind. I turn around to look at my girl. "I came here direct from my shoot, and" I kiss her before she is able to complete her sentence. She kisses me back, without touching my hair. I raise my eyebrows. "Don't wanna spoil it" she smiles back and I take in her appearance. She looks absolutely stunning as usual. "Let's go back, your fans must be waiting for you" she said pulling my hand and I pulled her back, making her collide to my chest. "But what about my number 1 fan?" I asked innocently. She smiled before pecking my lips. "She will always be there with you" she said against my lips and I was about to kiss her back, but my manager interrupts. "Hero !! Everyone is there" she motioned towards the outer hall. "I am coming" I said before turning back to Nirvana "stay here?" She nodded before squeezing my hand and releasing it. I walked out and the crowd started chanting my name again, pooling in the outer hall. "Hey" Jo shouts over the noise. "Nervous?" she asks and I nod my head from side to side. I was nervous, until now. I gesture towards the inner hall and Jo starts laughing before shaking her head. "Won't she be able to join us?" she asks as we pose together in front of the camera. "Not yet" I answer back. After that, I sign on multiple posters, front covers and book jackets, followed by a number of interviews. Then we take pictures with Anna Todd and Jenny Gage, our director. Lastly, we take a group picture with the entire cast. I feel thirsty, so I walk inside. Instantly a cool bottle of mineral water is placed in my hand. When I look up, my tired face brightens up. "I knew you will need water after all that rounds of interview" Nirvana says sitting next to me. She knows everything.
I update her with everything happening outside when finally Steve, our event coordinator walks in and informs us that we are done here, ready to move to the hotel for the launch after-party. I take Nirvana's hand and walk out. I am at ease now, because she can freely attend the after party with us. When we reach the hotel, we walk in, separately. People start taking pictures of Nirvana, even calling her in the corner to talk and snap pictures with her. As I watch her posing in front of the camera confidently, I can't stop my own goofy smile from appearing. Is it possible to fall in love with someone, all over again ? Nirvana is no more the back hand supporting, camera woman. After my modeling agency published a couple of her pictures, from the photoshoot that I made her do, back in London, she was approached by many brands and endorsers. Instead of shooting other girls for the show, she herself modelled for the Victoria secret. So yes, my girl is not only successful behind the camera but also right here,in front of it.

Her newly achieved recognition, was highly appreciated in the industry and also by my mother. She has finally accepted Nirvana and we are planning to go back to London after I am done with the pre screening events for the movie here. After a month break, involving a couple of modelling commitments, I will start my next project. And by the early next year, we will start with the next installment of 'After' as I had already signed for four films.

Life finally seems to go perfect. My first film is out there, which is expected to be extremely successful. My family is proud of me and happy for the way, I have started my career in this field. And after all this, when I look at the love of my life, this girl standing next to me, holding my hand and heart, I know that this is just the beginning.
