As we are driving to cody's apartment I can feel my hands get sweaty and my legs won't stop bouncing. Cody must live in the nicer part of L.A because all I can see are nice houses that are way to big. I mean he's a professional baseball player after all.
We pull up to a building which I'm guessing is his apartment.
"Come on there's someone I want you to meet."
Cody says and grabs my hand.I can't help but flinch at the slight contact but I let it go and continue to follow him.
We get in the elevator and cody pushes one of the numbers. We get off at the seventh floor and walk down a hallway. He grabs his keys opening the door allowing me to go in first. The apartment is very luxurious and I'm in aw at how nice it is. It's nice and bright and the white reminds me of the beach.
"You've got a really nice place bellinger." I turn around and don't see cody. Maybe he went to go change.
"Here's the pretty girl I wanted you to meet." He comes back out with a small dog in his hands. The dog is a mixture of white and grey with some brown. The hair looks longer and she looks adorable.
"Can I hold her." Cody nods and gives me the puppy. I've always wanted a dog but I could never bring myself to letting a sweet innocent animal in our house of terrors.
"Hi pretty girl, what's your name." I talk to her in a sweet voice I only talked to my sister with when she was a baby.
"Her name is hazel, she's not my dog she's my roommates Corey's and his girlfriend Maddy's." I sit with the dog on the ground her in my lap and just pet her. At least she can't judge me.
Cody breaks the silence. "I'm going to go change I'll be right back." I just give him a nod knowing I'm not going to be moving anytime soon. I have a sleeping dog in my lap.
I continue to pet the dog soothing her to sleep when I hear the front door open. Shit.
"Hazel we're home." I here a women's voice.
A girl followed by a taller guy I'm guessing is her boyfriend stop in their tracks once they notice me."Hi-i I'm Um cody's friend." I don't really know if cody and I are friends or what but I don't know what else I'm say.
The guy starts laughing. "Wait, are you sweatshirt girl." The girl hits him and I go red.
"Um i-i guess unless cody gives his sweaters to everyone." I say and look down finding hazel still in my lap.
"Looks like your not the favorite anymore babe." So I guess this is their dog is there's. The girl pats her boyfriend on the shoulder and walks to where I'm at and sits next to me to pet the dog.
"Hi princess." She says in a sweeter voice. Hazel opens her eyes and jumps up to go to her.
"I'm madisyn by the way but you can call me maddy and this is Corey, him and Cody are teammates." She says. She seems like a genuinely nice person.
"I'm Alexia but I go by Alex." I say. I watch Maddy play with hazel.
"So are you and cody a thing now or.." I see the guy Corey by the kitchen and he's giving me a Smirk.
"Um no we're not just friends." I'm getting red so I look down like I always do.
" Corey leave her alone." Maddy says to him with a smile. I silently thank her
"So now that you guys are friends how would you like to come to this little pool party that one our teammates is hosting." Says Corey
"I would love to bu-." I'm cut off when cody comes back and answers for me.
