5. Annoyance

Josh stood there dumbfounded as he saw the smaller boy walk straight away from him. His eye twitched all the way until he got to class. His eye was still twitching as he just stared at the white board. Ashley looked over and squinted at his face.

"What's up with him?" Ashley asked.

Mark, who sat in front of them, turned around and said, "Apparently Tyler, is not afraid of angry man Josh. Isn't that right?" Mark mocked.

"Fuck. You." Josh said.

He couldn't get that perfect whisper out of his head. He changed his mind. He hated Tyler. He hated is beautiful brown eyes and his brown hair and his cute smile.

"So he's not afraid of you, isn't that a good thing?" Ashley said.

"To Josh, It's a terrible thing. He thinks the world is going to end if someone isn't afraid of him." Mark snickered

"It's not because of that you asshat!" Josh said throwing a piece of paper at him. "I'm just shocked that a little shit like him isn't scared of me."

"Josh who cares? Maybe it's a good thing." Mark said.

Josh just hummed and got to work. So maybe Josh had a small crush on him. Josh didn't know the poor boy that well enough to have a crush on him. He shrugged it off as the bell rang for their final class. He walked to the final class of the day which was U.S. History. As he walked in, he caught a glimpse of Tyler smiling at Geoff. More jealousy bubbled inside of Josh's stomach for no reason. He finally sat down in his seat next to Brendon and Dallon, glaring at Geoff.

"Alright class, My name is Mr. Fuentes and i'll be your U.S. History Teacher. Since it's the first day of the semester, i've decided that we should start off with a project." Mr. Fuentes said

A collective groan was heard throughout the class room as Mr. Fuentes handed out packets of current issues going on in today's society. It included homophobia, racism, and global issues such as droughts, water being contaminated, and poverty.

"Now i'm going to pair you guys up with partners and they will be your partners for the rest of the year." He said.

Josh rolled his eyes. He'll end up convincing Mr. Fuentes to work alone this year so that way he wouldn't end up with someone he didn't like. A tap on Josh's shoulder came from behind him. He turned around to see Jenna's blonde hair put back into a ponytail and smiling wide as ever. At this moment, Mr. Fuentes started naming off names.

"Oh what now?" Josh asked.

"Kellen and Matty."

"Ten bucks says you get paired with your crush." Jenna smiled.

"Brendon and Dallon."

"No way, Dallon and Brendon got paired together so maybe I can be on my own." Josh said

"Jenna and Hayley."

"Well it looks like it'll happen." Jenna said.

"Elijah and Nick."

"Shut up! That's the last person I need to be paired with,"

"Awsten and Geoff."

"It's about to be your turn mother fucker!" Jenna whispered.

Josh panicked as the only last two were him and Tyler. The teacher looked at them both and smiled.

"Looks like you make it even, Tyler. You will be paired with Joshua for the rest of the school year." Mr. Fuentes said.

Tyler looked over to Josh as the color from his face drained. Josh just smirked at the boy, making Tyler look at him angrily.

"Mr. Fuentes, clearly i'm new here. Can't I work with Geoff and Awsten?" Tyler asked.

Josh seemed hurt by Tyler not wanting to work with him. It was almost an insult to Josh.

"We don't mind Tyler working with us Mr. Fuentes. We could get another perspective from someone who wasn't born and raised in Ohio." Geoff offered.

"I'm sorry but, i don't want a group of three. Mr Joseph will work with Mr.Dun and that's final." Mr.
Fuentes said.

Josh smirked as he saw Tyler move his small body towards the desk next to Josh. He sat down and grumbled to himself as he got out a notebook and a pencil. Josh leaned over to Tyler and whispered in his ear.

"Looks like you're stuck with me, brat."

Tyler turned his head towards Josh. He put his whole hand on Josh's face and pushed him away. Josh laughed at him but then felt bad.

"Look, i'll leave you alone if you want to do the project by yourself." Josh said.

"No. Meet me at my house today after 6pm. We can talk about what kind of issue we are going to work on." Tyler said, giving Josh a piece of paper.

Josh looked at the paper and saw an address and a phone number. Tyler went back to paying attention to the teacher while Josh just stared at the paper in shock. He heard snickering next to him while he was in shock. He turned his head to see Brendon, Dallon and Jenna giggling.

He glared at all three of them and flicked them off.
